Hugs, celebrations, and big checks...oh my!

This week, the KEF team visited schools around the district to surprise educators with the awesome news that they were this year's recipients of our Great Opportunities Grants! From Edgerton Elementary School to Kalispell Middle School and everywhere in between, we were honored to not only see students overjoyed for their teachers but also their teachers' gratitude for the extra support for their classrooms. These grants will help enrich thousands of students' educational experiences at Kalispell Public Schools.

We will be sharing more stories and photos with you in the coming weeks but for now, enjoy a peek into some of our community's classrooms and the incredible people making a difference every day in them.

Donors and partners, we hope that you share in this joy, too! Your support makes a big difference in our work.

Thank you Whitefish Community Foundation for awarding a $40,000 Kids Fund grant to KEF for a tiny house construction project at Linderman Education Center!

This grant will allow career and technical education teacher Brian Bay to help students will work together to construct a finished tiny house that meets professional standards while receiving the encouragement, accountability and support they need to remain engaged in school and explore careers in the skilled trades.

“This is an extraordinary opportunity for Linderman Education Center students to learn through real work and to walk away with skills and confidence that will serve them for life,” said Dorothy Drury, Kalispell Education Foundation Executive Director.

Homecoming is more than just parades, dress up days, and football games. It's also a chance to celebrate and recognize our Glacier High School Alumni and Flathead High School Alumni!

For 123 years, tens of thousands of students have walked through the doors of our high schools, earned their diplomas, and gone on to make their mark across Montana and around the world. They carry with them the values that make Montana special like hard work, community, curiosity, resilience, and a commitment to helping others.

Join us as we celebrate every graduate who has been a part of our community's story!
