There’s a lot happening at Samaritan House right now, and our community is helping make it possible. 🏠🐟

The elevator is getting closer to being operational again, work is wrapping up in the Vet Pod, and family unit renovations are right around the corner. Piece by piece, we’re building a stronger, more functional space for the people we serve.

While the building may look a little different these days, one thing hasn't changed. Our community continues to show up for Samaritan House.

We’ve now received 115 gifts totaling $52,145 toward our $180,000 Great Fish Challenge goal.

Every donation is helping us move these projects forward and prepare for what comes next, including getting our shelter ready to welcome people back as Montana’s cold weather arrives. ❄️

Winter will be here before we know it. Our goal is to have our doors open, our building ready, and our community prepared to welcome our neighbors home when they need us most.

To everyone who has donated, shared our campaign, or encouraged us along the way, thank you. We truly could not do this without you.

It’s kind of chic to care about your community. 💛

At Samaritan House, we believe caring means more than words. It means showing up, supporting our neighbors, creating opportunities, and working together to make sure people have a safe place to call home.

Our community makes this work possible, through donations, volunteer hours, partnerships, encouragement, and everyday acts of kindness.

So yes, we think caring is kind of chic.

But more importantly, we think caring is how a community gets stronger.

🐟💙 WE UNLOCKED THE MATCH!

We are absolutely blown away by our community.

As of today, 101 generous donors have contributed $50,095 to Samaritan House during the Great Fish Community Challenge, meaning we have officially passed our $25,000 match goal! 🎉

To every person who has donated, shared our posts, encouraged a friend to give, or simply followed along with our campaign:

Your support means so much to Samaritan House and to the people who rely on our programs for housing, stability, and support.

And we're not done yet! The Great Fish Community Challenge continues through September 11, and we're excited to see what our community can accomplish together.

💙 Our community is already showing up.

The Great Fish Community Challenge has only just begun, and 30 generous donors have already given $15,020 to Samaritan House.

We are incredibly grateful to every person who has chosen to support our work. Every gift represents someone in our community saying, “This matters. Keep going.”

Our next goal is $25,000 to unlock the match, and we're excited to see how far we can take it together.

A little construction update from Samaritan House 🛠️

Our exterior painting is coming along nicely, the kitchen and dining area are being worked on, the men's dorm bathroom is progressing, and our offices are all in various stages of construction.

Right now, there's a lot of dust, noise, equipment, and "please excuse the mess." 😂

But every one of these photos represents progress.

(Also we have only had the fire alarms go off once this week, Dustin's blood pressure appreciated that.)

We're working to make Samaritan House safer, more functional, and better equipped for the people who rely on it, and we're excited to eventually show you what it all looks like when the dust settles.

Samaritan House is at the Great Fish Community Challenge Launch Party today at Glacier Bank Park, and there are 89 Flathead Valley nonprofits here showing off the work happening in our community.

Come walk around, check out the nonprofit booths, grab some free food and drinks, meet some great local organizations, and learn more about the people and programs making a difference right here in the Flathead Valley.

Not every victory looks like a dramatic life change.

Sometimes it looks like getting an ID.
Making an appointment.
Showing up for a job interview.
Signing a lease.
Making the call you’ve been putting off.
Taking one more step forward.

These moments might seem small from the outside, but when you’re rebuilding your life, small victories can be huge.

We see them. We celebrate them. And we keep showing up for the next one. ❤️
