CASA for Kids, Flathead County Celebrating 25 years of advocacy. 💙
Making a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children in Flathead County, MT.

Abused and neglected children often slip through the cracks of the overburdened social welfare system. Trained CASA volunteers can step in to make a difference. CASA is the only volunteer organization that empowers everyday citizens as appointed members of the court. (Locally, CASA volunteers serve as the child’s guardian ad litem, or GAL). Appointed by judges, CASA volunteers typically handle just one or two cases at a time and commit to staying on that case until the child is placed in a safe, permanent home. CASA volunteers provide a constant, stable, person for the child to connect to in a situation where frequent change is often the norm. We do NOT handle family law cases or matters involved with custodial disputes.

You don’t have to be retired. You don’t have to have a background in child welfare. You just need the willingness to show up, learn, and advocate.

WOW, what a summer it was at CASA for Kids! ☀️💙

From FOCUS adventures and community events to celebrating 25 years of advocacy, welcoming new team members, connecting with incredible supporters & donors, and a record-breaking Great Fish Community Challenge… this summer gave us so much to be grateful for.

We packed a lot of memories into a few short months, and none of it would be possible without the advocates, volunteers, donors, partners, families, and friends who continue to show up for CASA and the children we serve.

We set an ambitious goal of $180,000 for this year’s Great Fish Community Challenge, and our community didn’t just meet it—you absolutely blew it out of the water.

Together, you raised an incredible $256,015 for CASA for Kids!

To every person who donated, shared our posts, stopped by a pop-up, told a friend, or helped spread the word: thank you. Your generosity allows us to continue recruiting, training, and supporting advocates who show up and speak up for children experiencing abuse and neglect in our community.

We are beyond grateful to the Whitefish Community Foundation for making this incredible month of giving possible, and to the Flathead Valley for showing us once again just how powerful this community can be when we come together.

What a day! ⛳️💙

Yesterday we celebrated our 12th Annual CASA for Kids Golf Scramble, and we’re still feeling incredibly grateful for everyone who made it such a great day.

From our golfers and sponsors to the businesses who donated prizes, our volunteers, and everyone who helped bring the event together—thank you. Your support goes far beyond a day on the golf course. It helps CASA for Kids continue advocating for abused and neglected children right here in the Flathead Valley.

We couldn’t do this work without a community that continues to show up for our mission year after year.

We are absolutely blown away. Our preliminary total for the 2026 Great Fish Community Challenge is $218,890 raised for CASA for Kids!

We set out with a big goal, and this community showed up in an even bigger way. To every person who donated, shared our mission, stopped by a pop-up, encouraged a friend to give, or supported us throughout the challenge—THANK YOU.

Every dollar raised helps CASA continue recruiting, training, and supporting advocates who show up for children experiencing abuse and neglect right here in Flathead County.
