DIVIDERS DIVIDERS DIVIDERS. Beef numbers are down a little but gives us the option for club tack spaces. Fantastic for those with lots of equipment. These spaces must be orderly and clean throughout the week.

Please be aware that the sections marked for club spots are in green and FFA in darker yellow. Green panels to tie to are 12 feet in length.

The more room you allow between calves there will be issues, mess, and perhaps wrecks. Typically ≈3 calves to a panel works well.

Livestock dividers or panels (8ft-10ft) work great to divide spaces. Be aware that these MUST be secure. Large hose clamps or wire work well.

Very high tech depiction here to help illustrate proper placement of a neck tie on your cows at the show!

Maybe one of the top “rookie mistakes” I see and one that can save or cause you some big big headaches….

👉🏻The neck tie should add some security to your project but 𝒂𝒍𝒔𝒐 help keep them in the center of their space. Tie the halter off to the left and the neck tie off to the right.

𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒐𝒏 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 is tieing both the halter and the neck tie to the same place.

👉🏻 Make sure the neck tie is tight enough so they can’t get a foot through it, but loose enough they can still breathe 😃

👉🏻 Give them enough slack to lay down, stand up, eat, etc but not enough so they can move too far back or over to get out of place or off the bed pack.

⚠️REMINDER:

With Fair right around the corner, be sure your livestock brand inspections are completed and correct.

THESE ARE MANDATORY and can lead to fines or inability to show/sell your market animal.

Your market steer should be on its own seperate brand inspection (not lumped together with other stock), for those bringing cattle from your family stock ( exhibitor name not legally attatched to ranch/dam) please have an official bill of sale.

The easiest and most effective paperwork is an official blue brand inspection or a 'traveling show permit'. These can be obtained by contacting a local brand inspector, making an appointment, and paying a very small fee to have paperwork completed.

Anyone with questions please reach out and be sure these are on your exhibitor when your animal crosses the scale. No exceptions.

PLEASE NOTE THE DATE CHANGE. THE 25TH is to replace our July 11th clinic. The building will not be prepared in time.

Bring calves CLEAN, and dry if you intent to do any in person clipping/fitting. No dust, debris, mud etc.

The barn will be open to those wanted to practice, desensitize, and mock show in class format.

Please RSVP to either or both clinics so we can have a general head count. Thanks!
