Roots Kokua Kalihi Valley

Roots Kokua Kalihi Valley The Roots Project is an `aina-to-table initiative that aims to strengthen the Kalihi Valley community Come join us at 2229 N.

Roots is grounded in Hawaiian traditions and practices of land stewardship and collective work. We find our inspiration in the resilient spirit of the valley's people who value the ways that sharing food and culture connect us to one another. The work of Roots grows from Ho`oulu `Aina in Kalihi Uka and spreads down the valley toward the sea to support KKV programs and find new opportunities to bui

ld health through food, story sharing and connections to the land. Roots activities include community food production at Ho`oulu `Aina and across Kalihi Valley, cooking workshops, culinary programming at KKV’s commercial-grade community kitchen, and a wide range of shared meals, including imu, umu and omw. The Roots Cafe is open from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm every Tuesday and Thursday! School Street to share the wonderful food and community!
