Transformational Connections

Transformational Connections We provide volunteer opportunities in the developing world and foster life changing experiences withi The four “legs” on which we stand:

1. b. c. a. Teens
ii.

Transformation of volunteers by serving others through physical, educational and economic support.
2. Sharing of cultures between volunteers and those we are serving
3. Recruiting others in our community to participate.
4. Encouraging volunteers to return home and do more in our community and elsewhere. Strategy and Values: We will do this through group trips for assisting in development of basic

needs and overall economic improvement in the Lake Atitlán Communities (LAC) of Guatemala:

1. To be self-funded.
2. To have a non-denominational and diverse core group.
3. To work with groups that are “on the ground” in LAC
a. To assist in areas of concern/need to the local LAC population. To assist the people of LAC in helping themselves to provide for their present and future needs. To assist the people of LAC to help them feel good about themselves and their future.
4. Maintain an ongoing personal connection to these groups and the people of the LAC through regular group “mission” style trips. To have core group members go on a regular basis
b. To have others in our community do the same by leading group trips to LAC
i. Family
iii. Religious
iv. Seniors
v. Others
5. To deepen relationships within our community to help strengthen our own community concerns.
6. To be inspired to continue direct service to those in great need.
7. Consider 501C3 status in the future.
