I’m very proud of all the players who competed in this weekend’s L5 District Championships. We had players battling through tough draws, including some who lost both of their matches to eventual division champions. From top to bottom, I’m proud of the effort, sportsmanship, and competitiveness everyone showed throughout the tournament.

A special shout-out to a few of the standout performances:

• Sam Schumacher — Champion, Boys 18s. Sam is on quite a run, having also won the Boys 18s Team title at the Memorial L4 Tournament in Lansing over Memorial Day weekend with his partner.
• Margie Glynn — Champion, Girls 16s
• Dominic Kwong — 3rd Place, Boys 14 Division, as the 5th seed, highlighted by an impressive win over the tournament’s No. 1 seed
• Aarna Betala — 5th Place, Girls 18s
• Sophia Krueger — 6th Place, Girls 18s

Also a Special shout out to some of our younger players who played at the AAACTA L7/Junior Circuit events this past weekend. Ananya Balamurali went 3-0 and won the Green Dot Girls 10U division.

Congratulations to all of our players on a great weekend of competition. Your hard work, dedication, and competitive spirit continue to make us proud!
