The Graduate Communication Organization (GCO) is a registered graduate student organization at Western Michigan University, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This organization represents the students seeking a Master of Arts in Communication at the School of Communication. Andrew Gambino, B.A. and M.A. in communication completed his PhD at Pennsylvania State University and is Associate Professor of Communication at Hong Kong Baptist University.
Riley Richards, B. A. and M.A. in communication finished his PhD at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is Assistant Professor of Communication at Oregon Institute of Technology.
Austin Beattie, M. A. in communication was featured by the University of Iowa

Congratulations to Vanessa Hills, a spring 2021 communication master's degree graduate, for her nomination as WMU candidate for the 2022 Midwest Association of Graduate School's (MAGS) Thesis Award!

Vanessa's thesis, "Laugh Until it's No Longer a Scandal: The Use of Humor-Based Apologia to Reframe Crisis Narratives on Saturday Night Live," was competitively selected from submissions across WMU. Her thesis committee consisted of Drs. Keith Hearit (chair), Julie Apker, and Rick Gershon.
