🌡️ Extreme heat is expected this week. Stay cool and stay hydrated!

Extreme heat is expected tomorrow, June 10, with a forecasted heat index near 100 degrees. Our Public Services team will be opening designated fire hydrants to help residents cool off, and the Florence Street and LaCrone splash pads, Woods Lake Beach, and Kik Pool will all be available. Drinking water is also available at Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park, Bronson Park, and Southside Park.

Additional cooling centers and cooling shelters are available throughout the Kalamazoo area. Remember to stay hydrated, limit strenuous outdoor activity, and check on neighbors, friends, and family members who may be more vulnerable to heat-related illness.
