😎 🏁 KCC's 2026 group trip had their primary event today. It went off splendidly! 14 KCC cars plus one recruited Rhode Island guest descended on Watkins Glen International for "Ride the Glen". Several members reached triple-digit speedometer readings during our three laps.
Another delightful bonus was meeting a family touring the USA from Israel. Originally they were going to view from the grandstand, or ride in the pace car. Instead, two daughters were treated to Corvette rides! Smiles were plentiful among all attendees.

Five cars from the Kalamazoo Corvette Club joined the Calhoun County Corvette Club and the Battle Creek Corvette Club for a picnic at the VA. Afterwards we did a cruise out parade for the Veterans. We received a warm hospitality on an even warmer day

NCCC Convention, Day 5: While some cars went to drag race, the KCC contingent took a bus tour to Niagara Falls. Following a Maid of the Mist cruise, we explored the adjoining state park. Niagara Falls State Park is the oldest state park in the nation. Walking trails and trolleys are available to access different areas of the park, including multiple islands.

NCCC Convention, Day 4: Today was the low-speed driving, at Pineview Run. Morning and afternoon session drivers each did parade laps, then had three runs for best times. Some drivers were novices; some grizzled veterans. 🏁😎🏁
The evening activity was a pool/patio party, featuring rootbeer floats and yummy lobster roll sliders. 😋We then gathered for the legendary Valve Cover Races. Think pinewood derby cars, except made with valve covers. Many creative decor themes were presented.

NCCC Convention Day 3, pt 2: Monday evening was the Champions Dinner. Awards were given for 2025's top scoring members in various categories. These included Top 15 Ladies Speed; Top 15 Men's Speed; Top 15 Non-Speed (funkhanas, car shows, rallies, etc) in Men's and Ladies; Top 5 Workers Men's and Ladies; Top 15 Clubs.
Special congratulations to Pam Kruse Malinoski for being the only NCCC member nationwide to be in the Top 15 of both Speed and Non-Speed events! Brian Davies also placed in the Top 5 Men's Woker category. Sadly, no Michigan Region clubs had Top 15 points for 2025. George and Kathy Duncan 's son was also awarded, for his portion of work on the NCCC social media presence.

NCCC Convention, Day 3, pt 1: Took a break from car-centered activities. First up was a bus tour to the Corning Glass Museum. Many displays of historical and artistic glassware. We also had live demonstrations on what makes glass break, and hand- blown artistry. Because stainless steel doesn't conduct heat well, the craftsmen can work barehanded with rods holding 2,100 degree molten glass draws inches from their fingers.
After that, all NCCC tourists got to make a sun catcher, using glass fusion technique. Our 3x3 panels will be kiln heated, and distributed to us later this week at the host hotel.

NCCC Convention, Day 2: Multiple events today! Began with the People's Choice Car Show and Concours. (It was nice to see some vintage Corvettes!)
Following that was a scenic drive and poker run, ending at Watkins Glen. Then approximately 50 Corvettes, including the KCC entry, ran three laps around the 3.45 mile road course. 🏁😎🏁 Elevated adrenaline levels were reported by all.
