"Construction work is underway at several locations in the Al Sabo Preserve as part of improvements to the City’s wellfield infrastructure.
The work includes stabilizing slopes and addressing erosion near wells and access roads, as well as improvements near the land bridge and culvert. Crews will also build a small sampling platform near the culvert so staff can safely collect water level measurements and samples.
The work areas are highlighted in orange on the map. Work will generally take place during regular working hours, and visitors may notice construction noise, tree trimming, and equipment being used to remove or stabilize eroded material.
Pedestrians and cyclists should use caution near active work areas. The land bridge will also need to close temporarily while work is completed there. We’ll share additional details about that closure once the schedule is confirmed, and signage will be posted at the preserve parking lot.
