Crummel's Angels

Crummel's Angels **Not currently active in taking placements**

I have been rescuing animals and finding them homes since I was a young child. I kept most of them.

A private rescue and sanctuary providing a safe place for animals; both stray animals and animals whose owners can no longer provide the proper care.
*Now... still rescuing animals, but currently taking one case at a time due to personal medical issues. It was something my mom taught me, and we both have a great love for all animals. Since college, I have been rescuing animals on my own. However,

I began running out of room, yet still wanting to do more. I then started searching for people who were fit and willing to adopt the animals I had rescued. I have rescued animals from many various situations: pet stores, puppy mills, high-kill shelters, abandoned animals, special needs animals, and owner surrenders. If an animal is lost, I do my best to locate the owner. If abused or neglected, I provide food, shelter, healthcare, and medicine if necessary. I am a social worker who has worked in Foster Care and Adoption. In 2014, I became disabled and could no longer work, giving me the opportunity to focus more time on my animal rescue efforts. I began networking in order to expand my efforts, as well as working on partnerships with other agencies, veterinary clinics, and shelters to ensure the health and safety of all rescued animals. Of course, I am always open to any suggestions or advice from fellow animal lovers! In 2016, I was able to go back into the work force; however, animal rescue is still a passion of mine that I continue to do when I have the time and resources. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (with 5 minors), as well as a Master's degree in Family Life Education. Before I became a social worker, I was a teacher. Education is VERY important to me, and I bring that with me through my organization. What I do is not just about rescuing animals, rehabilitating them, and finding them loving homes; education about animal cruelty and proper care is crucial. "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." -Nelson Mandela

The adoption fees vary based on the services performed during veterinary visits (if extra services than a health check and deworming are required). Adoption fees must be paid in CASH. If a kitten/cat has a clean bill of health, the adoption fee is $50 per kitten and $35 per older cat (12 months and up). If a puppy/dog has a clean bill of health, the adoption fee is $75 per puppy and $50 per dog (12 months and up).
*At this time, there are no puppies available.*
There will also be a contract/agreement that you will be asked to sign upon adoption stating that you understand the medical care the animal has received so far; that you are willing to continue providing routine and emergency care; that you promise not to abuse, neglect, or abandon the animal, and that if, for some reason, something does not work out with the animal, you will bring that animal back to this rescue free of charge. These Angels are not for resale or breeding. Refunds will only be given for up to 7 days if the animal is returned in the same condition he/she was at the time of adoption. Consent to have your picture taken with your new Angel will also be asked at that time in order to post the adoption news to this page. Lost or stolen animal? Let us help spread the word and reunite you with your Angel! Found an animal? Post it here to help find its rightful owner! Crummel's Angels is not just about adoption, fighting animal cruelty, education, etc... It is about making connections and helping both animals and people. Rescue animals are not always strays. Finding owners should always be the FIRST step to rescuing! If you know of a lost (or found) pet, feel free to contact me for assistance and/or use this page to post your lost (or found) angel! FYI - All animals rescued by Crummel's Angels cannot be adopted for at least 7 days after rescue in order to ensure that all attempts are made to find the owners, as well as ensuring the overall health of these animals. If an animal is surrendered, that animal cannot be adopted for at least 72 hours to ensure the health and safety of all animals. They are also all flea treated (except for those under 12 weeks of age or pregnant or nursing mothers, unless otherwise directed by a veterinarian). Kittens and puppies visit the veterinarian at the age of 6 weeks, where they are also de-wormed. Kittens will come litter box trained. Kittens under 8 weeks of age have been receiving eye drops (non-steroidal) with antibiotics. Kittens and puppies are available for adoption around 8 weeks of age, after receiving their second dose of de-wormer. Kittens/cats that are alone (not in a litter) are tested for Felv/FIV and treated with Revolution at 8 weeks of age. Puppies/dogs that are alone (not in a litter) are tested for the Parvo virus and treated with Revolution at 8 weeks of age. Please contact me through this page or at [email protected] if you are interested in coming to meet my precious angels that are waiting for you!! For those of you wanting to adopt a certain animal, but not able to make it over soon enough and also not wanting anyone else to adopt that Angel...
In order to send your deposit, go to www.gofundme.com/CrummelsAngels. This page is used for our donations, so ensure to enter your first & last name. Also, under the "Comment" section, write "$20 deposit for [Animal's Rescue Name]." Once I receive the payment confirmation, that animal will be on hold. We can then schedule an appointment for you to come pick up that animal.

*Note: The following is only for those adopting animals ready and available for adoption (kittens and puppies over the age of 8 weeks)*

That appointment must be scheduled for within 2 weeks of your deposit unless other arrangements were discussed prior to placing the animal on hold. Once you set an adoption/pick-up date, you then have 2 more weeks from that time to pick the animal up. However, the adoption fee will be raised ($10 for cats/kittens and $20 for dogs/puppies) to account for general care. If you do not pick the animal up within that time frame, the animal will be taken off hold and become available for adoption again. There are no refunds on deposits. This accounts for the extended general care (food, water, medication, etc.). Also, others may request to adopt that animal, but it is on hold for you. If you choose not to pick up your animal, that animal missed out on another possible forever home. It is not fair to that animal or other animals who may be in need of placement at this rescue. If you put a deposit down, I can send you pictures and updates of the animal (upon request) until you are able to come get your Angel. You will pay the rest of the animal's adoption fee at the time of pick up. Please contact me BEFORE sending any deposits. I cannot guarantee the availability of an animal without contact. Thank you!

*Please note: Crummel's Angels reserves the right to refuse adoption to anyone. We will not adopt to persons who mislead or fail to provide accurate information. You must be 18 years or older to adopt. Please bring your photo ID with you to your adoption appointment. We do not have set "business hours." Therefore, adoptions are via confirmed appointment time only.

Hi friends!!

We have an angel in need. Meet Storm!

Birthday: April 28, 2022
Gender: Female (spayed)

Storm is the sweetest, most cuddly dog you’ll ever meet! All she wants to do is lay next to you and snuggle the day away. She is incredibly mild mannered, but needs to be an only pet. She does not get along with other dogs. She was raised in a home with children and is incredible with kids of all ages! Storm is a wonderful family dog, but would also thrive in a calmer environment. She is up-to-date with all her medical needs. She will come with all her papers, as well as all dog care needs (toys, food and water bowls, crate, bed, etc.) Storm would be a wonderful addition to anyone’s life!

If you or anyone you know would be a good fit for Storm, please reach out to myself or the current owner. And please share!

Kindness and patience go a long way!

Friendly reminder: some pets need time to come out of their shell🐾

UPDATE:

I have not been open/active for a couple years due to medical issues, which limits my available funding to help animals in need. I am here to help offer suggestions and resources, but I cannot take placement of animals at this time and do not currently have any animals available for adoption.

Thank you!
