Our Branch Veteran Affairs Committee had the honor of hosting a meet and greet openhouse at Twine Urban Winery for Ms Zaneta Adams.
She is a woman of many accomplishments/accolades. She is an honorably discharged Army Veteran, the first woman and person of color to serve in a cabinet position Michigan as the Director Michigan Veteran Affairs Agency under Govenor Gretchen Whitmer. She serves on the NAACP National Veteran Affairs Committee, is a graduate of WMU Cooley Law School, is an author and a member of AKA Soroity, Inc
She was the keynote speaker on Monday at the Veteran 1st's Women Veterans Conference, today is the last day of the conference.

Veteran1st CEO Toni Kennedy, is a Army veteran and a Life Member of the NAACP.

Hustle for Wellness Week 11!
The combination of physical activity and dancing (and humidity) resulted in significant calorie burning. As is our standard practice, we ensured adequate hydration by drinking plenty of water, a habit that should be maintained daily and increased on particularly hot and humid days. Health is wealth!

Last Thursday Governor Gretchen Whitmer was in Kalamazoo to sign an executive order re-establishing the state’s Gun Violence Prevention Task Force and declared June as Gun Violence Awareness Month.
She later participated in a joint economic and affordability discussion held at the Coffee Factory with State Senator Sean McCann. Also present was Kalamazoo County Commissioner Monteze O. Morales
