Being of service is a blessing. Many community servant leaders across Kalamazoo County volunteered today as "First Day of School Greeters". I think we were more excited than the children!
At Lincoln International Studies Elementary, our Executive Committee member Cynthia Hammond represented our Branch.
President Fields and member Darnell Fields represented at Phoenix High School and Northeastern Elementary School.
Community prayers for a safe, productive and fun-filled school year for our students

Yesterday was another very busy day supporting the community!
We were in attendance at The Village's Chair, "Back To School Village Jam" held at the Douglass Community Association. Then on to the Leaning On Healing's Back to School event! Both events offered free resources, food, family friendly activities, free haircuts and braiding, music and dancing!
Please pray that the children will have a safe, fun and impactful school year!

What a busy, impactful weekend!
Saturday we tabled at the 6th Annual NMA Anti-Gun Violence Carnival. Our Branch is a proud member of NMA (Northside Ministerial Alliance). This family friendly event is free and open to the public. Its resource rich, engaging, an opportunity to network, eat, dance and just chill! Congratulations to NMA Newly elected NMA President Pastor Lenzy E. Bell, Mt Zion Baptist Church and the carnival committee on another successful event. We're looking forward to next year!
Later we tabled at Kalamazoo's First Black Pride Festival! Congratulations Michael Cleggs-Arnott of OutFront Kalamazoo on bringing your vision to fruition. Another great opportunity to network, gather resources, engage with community and enjoy good music and performances.
We look forward to the 2nd annual!
