Crayons4Kids is a nonprofit organization whose sole purpose is to try to bring happiness to children while they confront the difficulties of hospital life. It was founded in 2001 when we were just five and six years old. What started out as a collection box for crayons and coloring books on our front porch has grown into a national nonprofit organization. We bring children large packages filled wi
th toys, and supply hospitals with DVD players, DVD’s, video games, iPads, musical instruments, and other requested items in order to improve the patient experience. Crayons4Kids is unique in that we work very hard to keep our overhead costs to a bare minimum. We have no employees, only a wonderful group of friends and family who volunteer. This means that almost all of the money we raise goes directly to helping hospitalized children. How many nonprofit organizations can say that?
