“Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to visit the tomb.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭1‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.28.1.NLT

“Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to visit the tomb. Suddenly there was a great earthquake! For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on it. His face shone like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow. The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a dead faint.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.28.1-4.NLT
The Resurrection was first revealed to 2 women. In that day and time in Israel, if you had an unbelievable story to tell and you needed credible evidence to prove it, you would NOT spread the word through women. And yet, Matthew chooses to leave that fact in there in order to preserve and accurately report precisely what happened.

“Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.28.5-7.NLT
At this point Jesus was already out of the tomb, but the angel sent by God to tell the Disciples moved the stone to enable them—and every Christ-follower afterwards—to see that the grave is empty! This is the lynchpin moment of Christianity. If you believe that Jesus is alive and left the tomb, and 40 days later ascended to be seated at God’s Righthand in Heaven, then everything springs from that fact in your life and you will have Etenral Life when your time here in His Creation is done. However, if this seems too incredible to believe, you may be stuck in a naturalistic worldview that is limited to your 5 senses and what you can comprehend between your ears. This would also mean that you are not aware of the incredibly powerful forces that are always at work and at war around you. And even if you consider yourself to be ‘spiritual’, you cannot accurately discern the good forces at work from the evil forces at work around you.

“The women ran quickly from the tomb. They were very frightened but also filled with great joy, and they rushed to give the disciples the angel’s message. And as they went, Jesus met them and greeted them. And they ran to him, grasped his feet, and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t be afraid! Go tell my brothers to leave for Galilee, and they will see me there.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭8‬-‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.28.8-10.NLT
In their way back to tell the Disciples about the empty tomb, the women encounter Jesus personally! And again with the ‘fear not’ idea! Heaven is aware of the overwhelming contrast in power between what resides on earth and what is coming from Heaven. However, things were happening rapidly since Heaven was on the move, changing the entire trajectory of world and human history at that moment, and Jesus knew how confusing and scary it would be for them.

“Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭18‬-‭20‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.28.18-20.NLT
When Jesus died, He reclaimed from satan the authority that he stole from the First Adam, in Eden. Now He rules in Heaven, and satan has been eternally defeated. However, we live in a temporal world so satan is still active in time. However, because of Jesus’ victory over him, we too have victory over him—as long as we follow Jesus’ Commands and teachings. Also here, is our sending out—our commissioning—to make disciples, baptize, and teach. By way of looking around, I would say that most churches seem to be better at baptizing, but not so god at making disciples and teaching. Although they probably do better at teaching, but teaching, “these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.”? We still have much to accomplish—2,000 years later! Which should increase our skill at making disciples. Of course it may not be easy to determine, true Disciples make New Disciples. So how much does that really happen. If we had more Disciple Makers, would western culture be in the state it is in today?

“But now, O Jacob, listen to the LORD who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior...”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/isa.43.1-3.NLT
Life verse right here! We have experienced this; we have seen it with our own eyes. Jesus means what He says and His Word is True in every sense. He promised that we would not be overwhelmed, and we were not! He promised that we would not be burned, and we were not. And all along, He was right there. As long as we fixed our focus on Him—just like Peter being called out of the boat, onto the chaos of the stormy waters—Jesus reached out and pulled us up!

““Do not be afraid, for I am with you. I will gather you and your children from east and west. I will say to the north and south, ‘Bring my sons and daughters back to Israel from the distant corners of the earth. Bring all who claim me as their God, for I have made them for my glory. It was I who created them.’””
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/isa.43.5-7.NLT
Through Isaiah God calls Israel to return to Him after their exile in Babylon, but here too Isaiah also prophesies that we Gentiles will also be gathered to Him. And this seems to be a double-reference to the Millennial Reign, when ALL people wil be gathered to Him In Righteousness.

““From eternity to eternity I am God. No one can sn**ch anyone out of my hand. No one can undo what I have done…

…For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭13‬, ‭19‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/isa.43.13.NLT
Here He comes! It is time to get right with Jesus, RIGHT! NOW!

“…you have burdened me with your sins and wearied me with your faults. “I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭24‬-‭25‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/isa.43.24-25.NLT
Here again Isaiah alludes to the coming Messiah, Jesus.

“The LORD who made you and helps you says: Do not be afraid, O Jacob, my servant, O dear Israel, my chosen one. For I will pour out water to quench your thirst and to irrigate your parched fields. And I will pour out my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your children.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭44‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/isa.44.2-3.NLT
Thank you LORD! To 1,000 generations!

“Who but a fool would make his own god— an idol that cannot help him one bit?…

…The poor, deluded fool feeds on ashes. He trusts something that can’t help him at all. Yet he cannot bring himself to ask, “Is this idol that I’m holding in my hand a lie?””
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭44‬:‭10‬, ‭20‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/isa.44.10.NLT
This is a classic before and after picture. Here is the ‘before’, which is what we did before Jesus got ahold of our lives. We were living according to the rewards and disciplines of the physical world—our job, our friends, our family, etc.—all of which amounted to idols that we continually bowed down to. Which is the clearest of sins against the First Commandment

““Pay attention, O Jacob, for you are my servant, O Israel. I, the LORD, made you, and I will not forget you. I have swept away your sins like a cloud. I have scattered your offenses like the morning mist. Oh, return to me, for I have paid the price to set you free.””
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭44‬:‭21‬-‭22‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/isa.44.21-22.NLT
And then the ‘after’ when Jesus fulfills His part of the all of the Covenants He has made with Israel and the rest of humanity that follows Him. Our sins of idolatry and every other sin have been wiped away in 1 sweeping and permanent motion! Now, go live like you have been forgiven and you have already won the battle over Hell!

“Mighty King, lover of justice, you have established fairness. You have acted with justice and righteousness throughout Israel.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭99‬:‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/psa.99.4.NLT
Here is the standard for TRUE Justice, as opposed to the counterfeit version of ‘justice’ that is being pushed today as so-called ‘social justice’.

“He spoke to Israel from the pillar of cloud, and they followed the laws and decrees he gave them. O LORD our God, you answered them. You were a forgiving God to them, but you punished them when they went wrong. Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy mountain in Jerusalem, for the LORD our God is holy!”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭99‬:‭7‬-‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/psa.99.7-9.NLT
God is our source for everything including discipline and Justice!

Encouraging and challenging you to seek intimacy with God every day.

“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!”

“When Judas, who had betrayed him, realized that Jesus had been condemned to die, he was filled with remorse. So he took the thirty pieces of silver back to the leading priests and the elders. “I have sinned,” he declared, “for I have betrayed an innocent man.” “What do we care?” they retorted. “That’s your problem.” Then Judas threw the silver coins down in the Temple and went out and hanged himself.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.27.3-5.NLT
As is always the case when we sin, we never realize the full gravity of our words and actions in the moment. Judas came to the realization of what was about to happen to Jesus, which clearly was not his intent. However, the consequences of our sin goes out of our hands immediately. So Judas goes to the leading priests and elders and confesses his sin. However, rather than helping him they respond with apathy. Even so he makes an attempt at repentance by returning the 30 Pieces of Silver—although that was NOT the behavior of his sin, it was the inducement to sin. Obviously he was panicked, and ended his life tragically. However, had he confessed his sin to Jesus, and possibly done something to fight back on Jesus’ behalf as an act of repentance, IMHO Jesus would have forgiven him. I am confident of this because Peter is the example of the opposite result. Even after denying Jesus 3 times, Jesus forgave and restored him. Then, Peter became even more powerful in terms of carrying the shoot Spirit to the Jews and all over the empire at the time. All of which laid the foundations for the Church today. We may risk the same mistake Judas made if we seek forgiveness from the world for our sins, or go to the wrong people or places for absolution, whether individually or nationally. Of course, when we sin against an individual, we must first confess and seek forgiveness from Jesus, but then we must seek the forgiveness of the person we harmed.

“The leading priests picked up the coins. “It wouldn’t be right to put this money in the Temple treasury,” they said, “since it was payment for murder.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27‬:‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.27.6.NLT
When it comes to evil people with evil intent, they always end up saying the quiet part out loud. In this case, they outwardly admit to braking the prohibiting murder. Their hatred for Jesus had caused the Pharisees to lose all sense of right & wrong. They truly suffer from a case of “JDS” (Jesus Derangement Syndrome). Given our current state today, I can easily draw the conclusion that what we are seeing here is demonic, just as it was back then.

“This year there was a notorious prisoner, a man named Barabbas. As the crowds gathered before Pilate’s house that morning, he asked them, “Which one do you want me to release to you—Barabbas, or Jesus who is called the Messiah?” (He knew very well that the religious leaders had arrested Jesus out of envy.)”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27‬:‭16‬-‭18‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.27.16-18.NLT
Ironically, Barabbas in Hebrew means ‘son of the teacher’ or ‘son of the father’, which is also how Jesus is referred to, but the refernce to Barabbas is in relation to he world, whereas the reference to Jesus is in relation to Heaven. So our application principle here is, when you refer to Jesus, are you placing Him in an earthly context or a Heavenly context? Be careful with that, it is easier than you may think to get it wrong (that is the voice of experience speaking).

“Just then, as Pilate was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent him this message: “Leave that innocent man alone. I suffered through a terrible nightmare about him last night.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27‬:‭19‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.27.19.NLT
The ‘spirit realm’ was in motion in a big way in these events. And it doesn’t matter whether the people were Jewish or Disciples of Jesus, or pagan Roman citizens. Angels and demons were both working in this moment. In this case speaking to Pilates wife in a dream, warning against involvement in what was about to happen. However, for Pilate, the die had been cast—he was in a position where there was no good decision he could make. This is a common theme among people of extreme worldly ambition, which is code for ‘short-term thinking’. I feel pretty confident that we will NOT see Pilate in Heaven when we get there.

“Pilate saw that he wasn’t getting anywhere and that a riot was developing. So he sent for a bowl of water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying, “I am innocent of this man’s blood. The responsibility is yours!””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27‬:‭24‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.27.24.NLT
The ‘Bonhoeffer’ prophecy: “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act. God will not hold us guiltless.” Pilate is not innocent of anything! And when we see ‘the least of these’ being treated horrifically, or murdered while we hold our smart phones to capture the scene, we too are guilty.

“Then Jesus shouted out again, and he released his spirit. At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, rocks split apart, and tombs opened. The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead. They left the cemetery after Jesus’ resurrection, went into the holy city of Jerusalem, and appeared to many people. The Roman officer and the other soldiers at the crucifixion were terrified by the earthquake and all that had happened. They said, “This man truly was the Son of God!””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27‬:‭50‬-‭54‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.27.50-54.NLT
Look at everything that happened at the Cross, when Jesus died! The 40’ tall, 4” thick Temple Curtain, that separated the Holy of Holys from the rest of the Temple, was torn from top-to-bottom. There is no human that could have pulled that off. The earth shook, again, no human can do that. Darkness descended on the land, not originated by any human. The graves of godly men and women opened up and they walked out through Jerusalem—100% of God, and ONLY God! Matthew is an eyewitness to all of this; he was there! All of this really happened! On top of all this, Jesus walked out of the Grave three days later! If you haven’t surrendered to Jesus yet, and you need proof, even this testimony would stand-up in a U.S. Court of Law. What are you waiting for?

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41‬:‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/isa.41.10.NLT
Isaiah is saying this to Israel on behalf of Jesus at a time when Assyria and Babylon are gathering and threatening them. Today, if you’re already a Christ-follower, then God will fight for you, and He will hold you up when you don’t think you can stand. I have seen it with my own eyes, as our daughter was finishing college and getting ready to face a scary future. I have also experienced it personally. You can believe this. If you are following Him, He is 100% faithful.

“You will be a new threshing instrument with many sharp teeth. You will tear your enemies apart, making chaff of mountains. You will toss them into the air, and the wind will blow them all away; a whirlwind will scatter them. Then you will rejoice in the LORD. You will glory in the Holy One of Israel.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41‬:‭15‬-‭16‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/isa.41.15-16.NLT
Again, remember Isaiah is saying this to Israel on behalf of Jesus at a time when Assyria and Babylon are gathering and threatening them. Translating this to our culture today, this does not sound like we need to be nice to people that want to conquer us or harm us.

““Look at my servant, whom I strengthen. He is my chosen one, who pleases me. I have put my Spirit upon him. He will bring justice to the nations. He will not shout or raise his voice in public. He will not crush the weakest reed or put out a flickering candle. He will bring justice to all who have been wronged. He will not falter or lose heart until justice prevails throughout the earth. Even distant lands beyond the sea will wait for his instruction.””
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭42‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/isa.42.1-4.NLT
Here is a prophecy from Isaiah that looks forward 700 years to Jesus arriving from Heaven. This passage is also referred to by Matthew in chapter 12.

“Sing a new song to the LORD, for he has done wonderful deeds. His right hand has won a mighty victory; his holy arm has shown his saving power! The LORD has announced his victory and has revealed his righteousness to every nation! He has remembered his promise to love and be faithful to Israel. The ends of the earth have seen the victory of our God.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭98‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/psa.98.1-3.NLT
We sing to God because He is victorious over evil—and as His followers we are victorious with Him.

Encouraging and challenging you to seek intimacy with God every day.

“The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.”

***This blog is meant to inspire and encourage the study of God’s Word for yourself—especially if you disagree with any of my commentary or conclusions. Too few Christ-followers read Scripture daily. You can change that today.***

“While he was eating, a woman came in with a beautiful alabaster jar of expensive perfume and poured it over his head. The disciples were indignant when they saw this. “What a waste!” they said. “It could have been sold for a high price and the money given to the poor.” But Jesus, aware of this, replied, “Why criticize this woman for doing such a good thing to me? You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭7‬-‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.26.7-11.NLT
What value do you place on your relationship with Jesus? This woman was willing to place a lot of value on making sure Jesus knew how much she valued His presence in her life. Also note that Jesus tells us that there will always be poor people among us—because of our fallen nature that causes this in our culture as well as in our attitudes and actions that cause individuals to defeat themselves.

“Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve disciples, went to the leading priests and asked, “How much will you pay me to betray Jesus to you?” And they gave him thirty pieces of silver. From that time on, Judas began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.26.14-16.NLT
What are your expectations for your relationship with Jesus? Many people today as in Jesus’ day, such as Judas, expect Jesus to take over politically and overthrow the evil in our politics that is rampant right now. However, that is not how Jesus operates. He will not rule in that way until He returns. In the meantime Christ-followers need to stay plugged-in with Jesus and the Holy Spirit and be His hands and feet in the 7 cultural institutions, which includes the political sphere. So, read-up, pray-up in order to get your mission direction from the Holy Spririt and get to it!

“On the way, Jesus told them, “Tonight all of you will desert me. For the Scriptures say,
‘God will strike the Shepherd,
and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’
But after I have been raised from the dead, I will go ahead of you to Galilee and meet you there.” Peter declared, “Even if everyone else deserts you, I will never desert you.” Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, Peter—this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny three times that you even know me.” “No!” Peter insisted. “Even if I have to die with you, I will never deny you!” And all the other disciples vowed the same.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭31‬-‭35‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.26.31-35.NLT
How many of us read this passage and think, ‘I would never deny Jesus.’ And then you find yourself in a conflict and you fold like a cheap rag? It’s easy to say in the company of other believers, but how clear, confident, and courageous are you with non-believers? Keep studying! And consider joining the Colson Fellows. It is a great education in building a Christian Worldview that fosters clarity, confidence, and courage for the faith.

“Then Jesus said to the crowd, “Am I some dangerous revolutionary, that you come with swords and clubs to arrest me? Why didn’t you arrest me in the Temple? I was there teaching every day. But this is all happening to fulfill the words of the prophets as recorded in the Scriptures.” At that point, all the disciples deserted him and fled.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭55‬-‭56‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.26.55-56.NLT
This had to happen at night because what the Sanhedrin was about to do was highly illegal according to Jewish Law, and Roman Law, I might add. Illegal activity like this must always be conducted at night. However, understand that when this happens, there will always be Heavenly Justice meted out. Although, it may not be immediate.

“Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, “Well, aren’t you going to answer these charges? What do you have to say for yourself?” But Jesus remained silent. Then the high priest said to him, “I demand in the name of the living God—tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.” Jesus replied, “You have said it. And in the future you will see the Son of Man seated in the place of power at God’s right hand and coming on the clouds of heaven.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭62‬-‭64‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.26.62-64.NLT
Right here the Sanhedrin gets a whole face full of precisely who Jesus is. And they can’t handle the Truth! Right here Jesus declares Who He is and that there will be Justice meted out for their actions. And, as referenced above, it won’t be immediately, but all Christ-followers in Heaven at the beginning of the Millennial Reign will get a front row seat when it happens.

“Soon after this, Merodach-baladan son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent Hezekiah his best wishes and a gift. He had heard that Hezekiah had been very sick and that he had recovered. Hezekiah was delighted with the Babylonian envoys and showed them everything in his treasure-houses—the silver, the gold, the spices, and the aromatic oils. He also took them to see his armory and showed them everything in his royal treasuries! There was nothing in his palace or kingdom that Hezekiah did not show them.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭39‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/isa.39.1-2.NLT
Hezekiah seems pretty naïve here! The Babylonian emissaries were sent to gain intelligence on Israel and they got it. We are being naïve as a nation as well, with regard to our adversaries. And as individuals we can do the same thing and open ourselves up to being raided and gutted by living flamboyantly an brashly.

“Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Listen to this message from the Lord of Heaven’s Armies: ‘The time is coming when everything in your palace—all the treasures stored up by your ancestors until now—will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left,’ says the Lord. ‘Some of your very own sons will be taken away into exile. They will become eunuchs who will serve in the palace of Babylon’s king.’” Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “This message you have given me from the Lord is good.” For the king was thinking, “At least there will be peace and security during my lifetime.””
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭39‬:‭5‬-‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/isa.39.5-8.NLT
God points out he problem he causes through Isaiah and Hezekiah gives an astonishing answer!

“The grass withers and the flowers fade beneath the breath of the Lord. And so it is with people. The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.””
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/116/isa.40.7-8.NLT
Even though created things will wither and fade eventually, God’s Word will never fail and it will never be removed from His Creation.

“Who else has held the oceans in his hand? Who has measured off the heavens with his fingers? Who else knows the weight of the earth or has weighed the mountains and hills on a scale? Who is able to advise the Spirit of the Lord? Who knows enough to give him advice or teach him? Has the Lord ever needed anyone’s advice? Does he need instruction about what is good? Did someone teach him what is right or show him the path of justice? No, for all the nations of the world are but a drop in the bucket. They are nothing more than dust on the scales. He picks up the whole earth as though it were a grain of sand.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭12‬-‭15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Jesus exists outside the water we swim in (the nations). But for God’s Word, we don’t even know what it means to be wet.

“Haven’t you heard? Don’t you understand? Are you deaf to the words of God— the words he gave before the world began? Are you so ignorant? God sits above the circle of the earth. The people below seem like grasshoppers to him! He spreads out the heavens like a curtain and makes his tent from them. He judges the great people of the world and brings them all to nothing.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭21‬-‭23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭29‬-‭31‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“The Lord is king! Let the earth rejoice! Let the farthest coastlands be glad.”

“You who love the Lord, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked.”
