Event Update: Limu Planting Canceled This Weekend

Due to forecasted inclement weather and the potential for a brown water advisory, this weekend’s monthly limu planting hosted by the Waimānalo Limu Hui has been canceled out of an abundance of caution for everyone’s safety.

The health and safety of our volunteers and community always come first, especially when ocean conditions may be compromised.

🌿 While we’re disappointed to miss this workday, we’d love to invite you to join us at the Waimānalo Kanikapila & Limu Festival on April 25th from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM! Come celebrate limu, music, culture, and community with us—there will be something for everyone.

🎶🌿 Waimānalo Kanikapila & Limu Festival 2026 🌿🎶

For more than a decade, people have been coming to Waimānalo to celebrate two things that define this place: Hawaiian music and limu.

On April 25, 2026, the community gathers again at Waimānalo Beach Park for the Waimānalo Kanikapila & Limu Festival — a day filled with legendary musicians, cultural learning, local vendors, and the spirit of aloha that makes Waimānalo so special.

This is a FREE community event. Bring your ʻohana, bring a chair or mat, and spend the day celebrating the sounds and traditions of Hawaiʻi in beautiful Waimānalo.
