Tuesday evening, the Brethren of Koʻolau Lodge F & AM gathered for their monthly stated communication and the business of the evening moved efficiently and well.

New faces were welcomed, a petition for the degrees was voted upon favorably, and a new affiliation was approved. Koʻolau Lodge is growing.

What made the evening equally memorable was the generosity of one Brother, who prepared the entire dinner and dessert himself with slow-cooked ribs, broccoli and cheese, chef's salad, garlic bread bites, and a homemade cherry pie that was well received by all.

Mahalo to every Brother who attended, participated, and contributed to an evening of fellowship and Brotherhood. The spirit of Koʻolau was well represented.

Last night was a milestone evening for Koʻolau Lodge F & AM, and one that many Brothers will remember for a long time. The Lodge gathered for a rare and meaningful degree night, initiating three Brothers, and made even more memorable by a lecture delivered in letter-perfect form with dignity, focus, and care.

We also had the privilege of recognizing two Brothers for earning their Master Mason proficiency certificates and extending warm aloha to visiting Brothers from the mainland, who were welcomed with the highly coveted Koʻolau Lodge pin.

Mahalo to every Brother who helped prepare, participate, support, and make the evening successful. It was a strong reflection of fellowship, proficiency, teamwork, and the spirit of Koʻolau.

A meaningful evening at Koʻolau Lodge F & AM as two Brothers completed their Master Mason proficiency, marking an important step in their Masonic journey and opening the door for them to travel and visit other Lodges.

We also had the privilege of recognizing a worthy Brother with the Cornerstone Award for his steady willingness to help with Lodge functions, meals, logistics, and the quiet work that makes fellowship possible. As he prepares for a PCS to the East Coast in June, we send him with our gratitude, best wishes, and a little bit of Koʻolau aloha.

Mahalo to everyone who contributed to a hearty home-cooked meal of kalbi ribs and all the fixings. Fellowship, service, and Brotherly love were well represented.

Last night was truly a meaningful evening at Koʻolau Lodge as the Brethren gathered for fellowship, a light dinner, and the raising of a Brother to the sublime degree of Master Mason.

We are grateful to the Brothers from neighboring Lodges who came out in support and helped make the evening a success. Even with a few last minute adjustments, the Craft came together with teamwork, care, and commitment.

Mahalo to all who contributed their time, presence, and service. Nights like this remind us that Masonry is strengthened by fellowship, preparation, and Brothers working together for a shared purpose.

Last night’s stated meeting at Ko`olau Lodge was a wonderful evening of fellowship, good food, and meaningful work.

We shared an excellent meal together, with plenty of key lime pie for dessert thanks to one of our seekers, who generously brought four pies for the evening. The meeting itself was short, productive, and enjoyable, with a great deal of lodge business completed in good order. Our Senior Warden presided over the meeting, and we also voted favorably on a new candidate.

It was also a special night for another reason. The newly refurbished columns made their debut, thanks to the work of a couple of Brothers who put time and care into restoring them. Their craftsmanship added something special to the evening.

Ko`olau Lodge continues to be a place where fellowship, tradition, and purpose come together.

Brothers of Ko`olau Lodge were grateful to spend the morning volunteering at the Hawaii Foodbank alongside Brethren from other lodges and the Grand Master across our jurisdiction.

Service has a way of reminding us what matters. When life feels heavy, when patience runs thin, when energy is low, or when you feel disconnected, one of the best ways to renew the spirit is to step outside yourself and help someone else.

We often hear that you cannot pour from an empty cup. There is truth in that. Yet one of the surest ways to refill that cup is through service. Standing shoulder to shoulder with others, giving your time, and supporting those in need has a way of restoring perspective, gratitude, and hope.

If you are feeling worn down, serve.
If you are feeling isolated, show up.
If you are searching for deeper connection, give.

In helping others, we often find that our own hearts are strengthened as well.

Last night’s Ko‘olau Lodge Fun & Fellowship meetup was one for the books.

We had a great turnout at Koolau Distillery, including some new faces and a visiting Washington state Grand Lodge officer. The evening was filled with laughs, good conversation, and plenty of brotherly fellowship.

A big mahalo to Na Hoku Hanohano entertainer Kosuke for the live music and to everyone who came out and made it such a fun night.

We’re already looking forward to the next one, usually held on the last Wednesday of the month.

This week, Ko'olau Lodge F&AM came together for a meaningful stated meeting marked by fellowship, important lodge work, and well-deserved recognition.

During the evening, we received a new petition and successfully voted on another, reflecting the continued life and future of our lodge. We were also honored to present the Hiram Award to a deserving Brother in recognition of his faithful service, dedication, and lasting contribution to the Craft.

Moments like these remind us that the strength of a lodge is found in the character of its members, the spirit of brotherhood, and the steady work that carries Freemasonry forward.

A strong night for Koʻolau Lodge in Honolulu at the Scottish Rite Cathedral (in Makiki) as we conferred the Fellow Craft (Second Degree) of Masonry.

One of our Brothers sat in the East for qualification and did a fantastic job, opening, conferring the degree, delivering a lecture, and closing with confidence and care. Proud of the teamwork, the growth, and the spirit in the room.
