One of the best parts of community events is seeing so many organizations come together in the same space.

RYSE was proud to join Project Hope at the Waiʻanae Boys & Girls Club alongside other partners dedicated to supporting youth and families on the West Side. Whether it's housing, education, employment, health services, or basic needs, no one organization can do it alone.

Mahalo to everyone who helped make the event possible. Strong communities are built through collaboration, and we're grateful to be part of that work.

Good things happen when preparation meets opportunity. 💼✨

These moments are about more than employment, they're about confidence, independence, and taking steps toward the future our youth envision for themselves.

Congratulations to everyone who attended. We can't wait to see what's next.

At Project Hope, we had the chance to connect with youth and families, answer questions, share information about RYSE services, and let people know that support is available when they need it.

Sometimes the most important part of an event isn't what happens that day, it's knowing where to turn when help is needed later.

Thank you to the Waiʻanae Boys & Girls Club for creating a space where those connections can happen and inviting us to join. 💚🤙

One of the best parts of this work is watching confidence grow in real time.

At a recent job fair, our youth spent the day talking with employers, asking questions, learning about careers, and practicing professional networking skills. By the end of the event, the excitement was contagious.

👏 So proud of these young people for showing up and putting themselves out there.

A lot of people know poi, but not everyone gets the chance to learn where it comes from or the work that goes into making it.

Youth from our Haleʻiwa program spent time with Stone, RYSE's Cultural Liaison, planting kalo and learning how to make paʻiʻai from scratch. There were plenty of questions and lots of hands-on learning.

These are the kinds of experiences that stick with you, getting outside, learning something new, and connecting with the cultural traditions that make Hawaiʻi so special.

Every career starts with a conversation.

Recently, several RYSE youth attended a job fair where they had the chance to meet employers, explore different career paths, and practice putting themselves out there. A few participated in on-the-spot interviews, and one young woman was even offered a job.

Moments like these can open doors, build confidence, and remind young people that opportunities are within reach. We're proud of every youth who showed up and took that next step. đź’š

A few photos from HARRIET orientation 👏

Soon, these RYSE youth will begin hands-on job training and start building skills that can open doors to future careers and opportunities.

We love seeing moments like this, new experiences, new connections, and young people stepping outside their comfort zones and investing in themselves.

Can't wait to see where this journey takes them. đź’š

Eight years ago, RYSE was founded on the belief that every young person deserves safety, support, and a path forward.
As we celebrate our 8th anniversary, we’re reflecting on the impact made possible by an incredible team, dedicated partners, and a community that continues to show up for Hawaiʻi’s youth.

The statistics shared here represent just a five-month snapshot (October 2025–March 2026) of the work happening across our programs. Behind every number is a young person, a story, a challenge overcome, and a future being built.

We’re especially grateful for the staff who bring this mission to life every day. Their stories remind us that while programs and services matter, it’s people who create lasting change.

Mahalo for being part of the RYSE journey. Here’s to the next 8 years and beyond. 💚

Leadership matters. So does showing up for young people when they need it most.

RYSE is looking for a Director of Programs to help lead and strengthen services that support youth experiencing homelessness across Oʻahu.

This is an opportunity to shape programs, support an incredible team, and make a lasting impact in the lives of young people working toward stability, independence, and hope.

If you're a mission-driven leader ready to help create real change in our community, we'd love to hear from you.

We’re never going to get tired of celebrating moments like this. 🎓💚

Recently, one of our RYSE youth, Eric Schultz, graduated from Waiʻanae High School with a 4.0 GPA and was recognized for his achievements along the way. Now, his story is being shared with the broader community through Hawaiʻi News Now.

Every diploma represents hard work, perseverance, and a future filled with possibility. We’re incredibly proud of Eric and grateful to see his accomplishments recognized.

Congratulations again, Eric. We can’t wait to see what comes next.
