The resolution passed UNAMIOUSLY with NO reservations or objections.

Aloha Protect Kailua `Ohana,

Resolution 20-178, CD1, FD1 requiring community involvement in the 201H process has been put on the December 9, 2020 full City Council agenda for adoption.

In order to ensure passage of this Resolution we need to participate in the process by offering ORAL testimony in SUPPORT of Resolution 20-178, CD1, FD1 in addition to the required Written testimony.

Supporting and getting this resolution over the finish line will ensure that Ahe Group and other developers will never again be allowed to disregard our community.

Please register for Oral testimony, submit Written testimony to get this job done.

Congratulations Protect Kailua `Ohana!!
We are one step closer to final approval. The ZPH committee voted to send the Resolution 20-178 to the City Council for final approval. We will need to send testimony again for the final meeting on December 9, 2020. We have one last hurdle to conquer with this resolution. We can do this `ohana. Together we can Mike sure development is done the pono (right) way with Community Involvement.

Aloha Protect Kailua,

Thursday, Novemeber 19, 2020 at 9AM the ZPH committee will be meeting and deciding to pass into law Resolution 20-178 with Amendments (CD1). Please submit testimony in SUPPORT of this resolution.

Together we need to stand up for our communities to ensure all 201H projects going forward REQUIRE COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT. Community Involvement will allow each community to have a voice in the development process of 201H projects and ensure the 201H projects are truly beneficial for each community. We have the power to hold the developers accountable and have future developments done the pono (right) way.

Let our voices be heard!!! Let’s submit overwhelming written testimony in SUPPORT of this resolution. The link is in our bio.

Kailua Neighborhood Board (KNB) is meeting Thursday, November 05, 2020 to discuss their support of Resolution 20-178 with amendments, to ask the DPP if the beach access closure triggers a new Special Management Area (SMA) permit application, and other important Kailua issues.

Please listen to a long time Kailua resident who has experienced the changes from development over the many years. This is why we need to continue to fight for community notification and involvement.

Please listen to this testimony from yesterday's meeting given by a neighbor of the infamous 201H project in Maili. This testimony explains the importance of why community notification and involvement prior to application is so critical.

Aloha Protect Kailua `Ohana,

This clip from the ZPH Committee meeting yesterday proves that community involvement is not a requirement for the 201H process. According to the DPP community involvement is suggested to be done in "GOOD FAITH". This is exactly why Resolution 20-178 is necessary.

Chair Emeritus Menor recommends further review of this resolution suggesting possible amendments to strengthen community involvement.

More from today's ZPH Committee meeting will be posted later. Please stay tuned as we, the community will need to submit testimony after Resolution 20-178 has been amended. Once the amended resolution is on the agenda and testimony is accepted we will let you know via IG/email.
