🎾 Join us for our 2026 Lokahi Summer Tennis Camp, happening in just a few weeks! 🎾

We’re excited to announce an incredible coaching lineup for this year’s Camp at Kailua District Park featuring two high-level coaches with Division I, professional, and elite player development experience.

🔥 Coach Peppi Ramstedt
Current Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, where the Rainbow Wahine climbed as high as #45 in the nation this past season. Coach Peppi will be leading our Intermediate Group (Ages 9–14), helping players build strong fundamentals, movement, confidence, and competitive skills in a high-energy learning environment.

🔥 Dr. Daniel Llarenas
ATP professional tennis coach, head coach of Andre Ilagan, and professional sports psychologist. Coach Danny will be leading our Tournament Group (Ages 15–18), bringing elite-level training, match strategy, mental performance, and professional player development to Hawaii’s junior players.

Join us November 22–23 at Kailua District Park for a weekend of fun, family-friendly competition and community spirit! The Lokahi Turkey Open welcomes players of all ages and skill levels to enjoy shortcourt tennis in a relaxed, supportive environment.

It has come to our attention that the Kailua District Park tennis courts are in urgent need of resurfacing. Over the past couple of weekends, we’ve had players slipping on the sandy surface, with a few even falling and sustaining cuts. While we are working on securing blowers and additional brooms to help clear the courts between rounds and matches, the issue is becoming a long-term safety hazard.

With that in mind, we encourage anyone reading this—whether your kids have participated in our tournaments, JTT programs, camps, or if you personally enjoy playing on these courts—to make your voice heard. Please reach out to Mayor Rick Blangiardi and his city council staff to let them know about the deteriorating conditions and the urgent need for resurfacing. These courts are not only essential for the events and programs Lokahi provides to the Hawaii community, but they also serve countless recreational players as the busiest public tennis facility on Windward Oahu.
