Headed to Maui this week to do a little hiking at Haleakala National Park. The Summit District is completely different from the eastern district. Did most of our hiking on the eastern district side, along the coast and trees. So beautiful.

I was very fortunate in 2025 to be able criss cross the US, Carribean, Alaska and the Yukon, chasing dreams and hiking miles. From my home state I was able to chase waterfalls and hike miles in North Carolina, Georgia, and of course, Tennessee.

I was able to visit and check off 10 National Parks in California, Oregon, Arkansas, and Alaska.

While hiking has always been my passion, I was able to jump from the top of a waterfall in Dominican and repel down a glacier in Alaska.

I am very fortunate that my prosthetist, Johnnie Loveday, with Metro Prosthetics in Baltimore, has always been by my side. I’m also very fortunate to have quality health insurance, which for many, is not possible. I know how fortunate I am to have a great prosthetist and quality healthcare in my corner, many amputees aren’t as fortunate.

2026 has many more adventures planned.

Where will 2026 take you?

From rappelling glaciers in Alaska in August to jumping off of waterfalls. This active amp can’t be stopped.

Just returned from a wonderful trip to the Caribbean. After repelling from a glacier in August, I thought that this vacation would be a "little boring." Ha, this Active Amp can't stay on the ground.

Counting waterfalls, one hike at a time, in North Carolina!

It’s not always about the miles, but the memories that are made. (Trust me, we are walking our miles, too.)

I promised my family that I would make the most of my amputation. So far, all promises met.

Very fortunate to have an amazing prosthetist, Johnnie Loveday at Metro Prosthetics in Baltimore, who keeps me moving! ❤️❤️
