Dr. Bridget Bongaard is one of 31 recipients of the County of Maui 2023 Volunteer Heroes. Dr. Bongaard conducts all the medical consultations for cancer patients at Maui Cancer Resources as she helps people from all over the island navigate the journey from diagnosis to survival or end of life. She even called a patient from Rome while on vacation just to help them through their journey. She is a dedicated and compassionate volunteer.

11: 00 -Session 3- Making your own salads and dressings. Hands on for everyone….Cancer Fighting Kitchen FUN!

11:45 - Nutritious healthy lunch That YOU JUST MADE

12:15 - Session 4- Caring for self and others- How to address the Wall of Silence, with George and Jeannie Stewart

1:30 - Bio break, coffee chat

1:45 - Session 5 Panel Discussion and round table discussion on what is holding you back at this time. Making peace with self. Program wrap up, idea exchange, and evaluations.

These workshops keep you on the pathway to Health and Wellness and help you to manage YOUR Cancer Journey in a better way. Stress reduction is a very important part of developing resilience and hardiness when life gets tough, and having community to share deeply is critical to healing.
