Clark County Missouri Agricultural Fair This page is for information regarding events and activities at the Clark County Fair. Kahoka, MO. The fair has been held annually every since.

The Clark County Agricultural and Mechanical Association was formed at the November term, 1881 at the county court. Several individuals presented their petition desiring to organize and be incorporated, for the purpose of promoting improvements in agriculture, manufactures, and the raising of stock. Soon after, they met at the courthouse and adopted a constitution and by-laws for the government o

f the association and elected the first officers and directors. In February of 1882, 30 acres was purchased one mile east of Kahoka, for $1800. These grounds were fitted up, and the first annual fair was held September 5th through the 8th of that year. The fair is now well-established and consists of a half-mile race track, amphitheater, art hall, barn and the necessary buildings for all live stock.

Be sure to sign up this year and see who has a better brisket - Bill Bonine or Craig Babington? Bill says his is better!

🐮Help Fill the Buckets! 🐮

Each year, the Nixon and Gray families are proud to host the Open Bucket Calf Show at the Clark County Fair. It’s one of their favorite events because every young exhibitor gets their moment to shine in the ring.. smiling for the crowd, talking with the judge, showing off their calf, and waving to family and friends cheering them on from the stands.

Local businesses are asked to support a lot of worthy causes throughout the year, and many are stretched thin - but that’s also what makes our small community such a special place to live and work- we all come together to support our kids.

At the show, every participant receives a 5-gallon bucket filled with goodies. They try to include a mix of:
🐄 Farm supplies (brushes, halters, show supplies, etc.)
🍪 Snacks and treats
🎨 Fun items like bubbles, coloring books, and other kid-friendly surprises

They are currently looking for donations of 50 of a single item to help fill the buckets for this year’s exhibitors. They’d love to have all donations collected and buckets assembled by July 6th.

If your business, organization, family, or group would like to help support this fun event for the young kids in our community, please reach out to: Zach or Olivia Nixon, Britten or Vanessa Gray.

All sponsors will receive:
•Name/logo on the event flyer
•Recognition during the show in the arena
•Name/logo included on the sponsor brochure placed inside each bucket

If you haven’t been to the open bucket calf show in the last couple years, please come join on July 15th at 5pm. It’s truly one of the most adorable little shows and so cute to see them interact with their calves.

We couldn’t do it without the support of our incredible community and we are looking forward to our best fair yet! ❤️🐮
