No Boundaries founded by Molly and Mike Raymond in August 2013. Molly Raymond suffered a TBI injury from a car accident on 7/3/2004, was disabled, no longer able to work, or do many rewarding activities she used to enjoy. Mike and Molly had been volunteers with the USO and WWP at Walter Reed and Ft Belvior Hospital to support wounded warriors. Mike(USMC-CWO-2) discovered NSCD-National Sports Cente
r for the Disabled. After 2 years of lessons w the NSCD staff, Molly became an "accomplished" ski biker and regained a lost passion. In March 2013-Molly was skiing w her instructor(Tommy Moore)and they thought how great it would be if wounded soldiers could discover adaptive sports and benefit from the same experiences Molly found. With Molly's vision, Mike helped raise the funding for the first trip in August 2013. The first trip was such a great success for the participants and the feedback was so positive-Now friends, supporters, and the Federal IT resellers want to keep giving back and keep the trips going. There are No salaries, 100% of dollar donated goes to pay for the wounded veteran's trip. Hosts on the trip pay their own way. Mike and Molly send daily updates so the supporters can see how their donations are being used and the impact of of these trips are for the participants. If you would like to donate it is tax deductible-Please go to the website on this page and follow the instructions to donate. Or you may contact Mike and Molly Raymond and we will help you. We appreciate any donations-it cost is approximately $1,800/soldier for the fully paid week long adventure. The NSCD hosts 10/12 combat wounded service members and volunteers for 6 days of exciting and challenging adventure tailored specifically for everyones needs. Summer activities include white water kayaking, fly fishing, rock climbing, confidence course, zip lining, rafting and cycling-usually in August, Winter activities include adaptive skiing, snowmobiling, tubing, and more. These activities challenge each participant to attempt things most have never experienced and would not try on their own. The program ends up raising participants to their true potential and abilities as well as build teamwork, comradery, and new friendships. The instructors and staff dedicate themselves to the service members and by the end of the week they are part of the family too! They are amazing. When Molly and Mike founded this program they wanted to give back to those who gave so much for our country. Opening new doors for those who never knew they existed following their injuries. The troops start out as strangers with injuries/issues-finish as brothers with a common bond forever!! Please consider donating to this incredible, amazing cause-Thank you. Molly Raymond
