Little Girl ❤️
At 28 years old, this sorrel mare still stands strong.
Her name is Little Girl, and her story hasn’t been an easy one. Over the years, she’s been passed from person to person, pasture to pasture—always hoping each place would finally be home. Each time, she tried. And each time, she lost the ones she bonded with.
But that chapter is over now.
Little Girl has found her sanctuary at Apache Rose 🌹
She carries no visible scars, but if you spend even a moment with her, you can feel her story. She forms deep bonds and doesn’t like to lose sight of her companions—and honestly, who can blame her? After a lifetime of goodbyes, she simply wants to hold on to the ones she loves.
Yes, she’s a red mare—and she proudly runs the herd. And here, we let her. Because that strength? That leadership? That fire? It’s part of what makes her so special.
She’s been adopted before… and returned. Some have found her “too much” to handle.
But we see her differently.
We see a mare who leads with confidence, who moves the herd forward, who brings security to the others. We see a horse who feels deeply, who loves fiercely, and who just needed someone to understand her.
And now—she’s home.
Little Girl will live out her days here, safe, respected, and exactly as she is… with her companion Star ⭐️ right by her side.
No more moving.
No more losing.
No more wondering.
Just peace. Just belonging. Just love.
