Our Cub Scouts & their families had a fun-filled overnight camping trip at Phipps Park Campground this past weekend! From catch-and-release fishing 🎣 & a hike to exploring the St. Lucie Lock & Dam Visitor Center, there was never a dull moment. And of course, we squeezed in some s'mores & Shaun the Sheep before bedtime! 🐑📺

We came for the camping, stayed for the adventures, & probably went home needing a nap! 😴💙💛

Our Tigers learned that game rules aren’t just rules. They help keep everyone safe, make games fair, & help teams work together! 💛💙 A little learning, a lot of teamwork, and plenty of Tiger fun! 🐯⭐️

Scout logic: “I don’t eat that at home.” 😒
Scout friend: takes a bite
Scout: “Okay, I’ll try it!” 😂
The Wolf Den parents are now very happy to add a few more fruits & vegies to their camp menu! 🥕🍎🏕️

Last night, our AOL & Bear Dens teamed up for a fun night of teamwork, creativity, & a little marshmallow engineering! 🐻 🏗️Each team had AOLs & Bears working together to build the tallest self-standing structure using marshmallows, raw fettuccine, and painter's tape.

The Scouts built… while the parents happily ate the untouched & completely unused marshmallows. 😉😂

Not in Photo: The winning team that was jumping for joy when their 24-inch structure was declared the tallest.

🇺🇸 We Remember. We Serve.

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, military members, and everyday heroes who stepped forward to help others.

Cub Scouts Pack 173 believes that one of the best ways to honor their legacy is through service. ❤️💙 Our Scouts are committed to giving back to our community, helping others, and learning that even small acts of service can make a difference.

We remember those we lost. We honor those who served. And we continue their legacy by serving others. 🇺🇸 Never Forget.

For 25 years, Scouts have continued to honor September 11 through remembrance and service. Helping other people isn’t just something Scouts do. It’s part of who we are.

On the eve of 9/11, we challenge all - past and present - to serve in honor of the fallen heroes: https://ow.ly/Qs2v50ZMpBu.
