🎉 Happy 80th Birthday to Mrs. Iris Etheredge! 🎉

Please join the Edna W. Runner Education Center in celebrating this special milestone for a woman who holds an important place in our community’s history.

In 1961, Mrs. Iris, then known as Iris Hunter, became the first Black student to attend Jupiter School. Her courage helped open doors for generations of students who followed.

Mrs. Iris, today we celebrate your life, your legacy, and the example you have set for our children. Wishing you a beautiful 80th birthday filled with love, joy, and many blessings! ❤️🎂

Thank you, El Sol, Jupiter's Neighborhood Resource Center, for welcoming our elementary aftercare students yesterday for such a fun field trip! 📚💛 Each student received three books through Amazon.com Reading Program, and our students had a great time!

We appreciate El Sol and Amazon for putting books into our children’s hands and helping grow their love of reading. Thank you for making the day special!

September is coming to a close, but the work at the Edna W. Runner Education Center never ends!

Our school is doing well, and we are so proud of our teachers for showing up for our students every single day. Be on the lookout for a special announcement about next school year!

A big thank you to Deputy Miller, PBSO - Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office who stops by multiple times throughout the week to check in on our students. She is a true community officer, and we appreciate the relationships she is building here.

Each month, we give our students a chance to learn beyond the classroom. This month, they visited Busch Wildlife Sanctuary and learned all about the animals there. All thanks to the Stiles-Nicholson Foundation !

Thanks to the Grace Notes Music Foundation, our students are also enjoying private music lessons as part of their related arts rotation and aftercare!

On September 11, our seniors came together to remember those who lost their lives and mark 25 years since that historic day. Thank you to HealthyMe Jupiter for visiting and sharing its services with our seniors, and to Palm Beach County Food Bank and Palm Beach County Office of Community Revitalization for providing food for our seniors and the Limestone Creek community.

We are also celebrating two members of our Center family! Congratulations to Board Member Imani M. Williams on opening her own law practice and being named a finalist for the ATHENA Award. Congratulations as well to Jasmine Edmonds, wife of Board Member State Representative Jervonte Edmonds, on winning the Young Professional ATHENA Award!

Finally, we were grateful for the opportunity to be on the news this month to share how Quantum Foundation support is helping the Center feed our community.

It takes so many caring people to make this work possible. Thank you for being part of it! 💙

What an incredible surprise Fun Friday! 💙💚

A huge THANK YOU to VOLORIDGE for their incredibly generous $21,000 donation to the Edna W. Runner Education Center!

Their team didn’t just stop by to present this amazing gift — they spent time with our students, played fun games, laughed with them, enjoyed Sunset Slush, and helped make the afternoon truly special. Our students had an absolute blast!

As we move through this fiscal year, support like this is more important than ever. Every donation allows us to continue strengthening our programs, supporting our students and families, and making an even greater impact throughout our community.

We are so grateful to have community partners like Voloridge who believe in our mission and invest in the work we are doing every single day.

Thank you, Voloridge, for believing in our students, supporting the Center, and surprising us with a gift that will make a tremendous difference! ❤️
