If you received any gifts this year that you didn't really want, I am making another trip to the assisted living facilities to bring donated gifts to orphaned or abandoned seniors.
Thank you to everyone who sent them gifts from their registry.... they were overwhelmingly grateful!
In the outdoor video the gentleman who received the TV and sneakers had to be taken outside because he was so excited that he soiled himself and they had to go clean his room.... if you zoom in you can see he put the new sneakers on after the incident though... whew!
I installed their TVs myself. Even the smallest gifts really made them feel like they matter too.
They got excited over a deck of cards and started a poker game in the outdoor area.

For all the people who said "GO GET A JOB!" to hungry families:
Please try to understand... The cost of childcare exceeds the wages they could possibly earn... for most recipients of food assistance.

Hunger can lead to a child's difficulty concentrating and learning in school and it negatively impacts health, education, and future opportunities for these children.

If you have excess non-perishable food in your pantry right now, please consider dropping some off at a local church or food bank or shelter.

You can also start a food drive in your community by contacting the Palm Beach County Food Bank and they will schedule to come pick up food in your neighborhood as a collaborative effort. I am not allowed to post links but you can google: "pbcfoodbank"

I donate at least 10% of my real estate commissions to feed the hungry with "direct" donations, and help abandoned elderly people in assisted living too. (not charities that may keep 80% of donations by law as a marketing expense).

I have seen personal bank accounts of church officials when I used to work in a bank, and their personal wealth was unexplainable.

So whenever possible, give directly to the cause and not the charity; unless you have a way of knowing which charities are legit, while the law allows them to pocket up to 80% of donations.

Any real estate agents here?

As the annual invoices just came out; I have to rant...

Is paying $650 a year just to rent a trademark really worth it?
I spent approximately $16,000 through the years before realizing the truth:
I wasn’t getting support—I was supporting them!

For all that money, I never received anything valuable that I don’t already have today as a non-member.
What I did get were unnecessary rules, constant threats, and outdated demands.
The reality?
There’s nothing defective about my own ethics.
Do I really need to be under the duress of threats and fines?
I am not a child needing discipline.
I follow state and federal laws and MLS rules and they cover all necessities.

I was being taught ethics by an organization whose president was being exposed for sexual misconduct himself... how not funny is that?

While they were bragging about protecting our industry, they made it much worse by caving into a settlement. This settlement cost agents a lot of buyers who refuse to commit to paying their commission.

They bragged about keeping the industry 1099 instead of W2, but mortgage agents are also 1099 contractors without their help... how is that?

That’s why our agents broke free from outdated board-controlled business models.
Now, they invest in themselves, keep 100% of their commissions, pay zero fees, and owe nothing to any board or mafia.
(Our agents only pay for MLS and Supra key and license renewals.)

Because true freedom is building your business without paying to be ruled, judged, fined or dictated to.

Many people don't file a claim to their regular homeowners insurance in fear of their rates doubling after.
So I discovered a plan that covers household contents separately from the regular homeowners policy, like an add-on, so claims can't raise your rates.

The premiums for a $20,000 household contents policy is approximatey $22. per month now.
Some people keep it all year round, and some just use it for hurricane season.
