In January 2017 Nicola had become very tired. In February she missed a period. At aged 46, she put these symptoms down to being pre-menopausal but she actually had stage 1 ovarian cancer. Nicola is pictured here with her mum and daughter.

The earlier ovarian cancer is detected, the better chance a woman has of survival.
