We took in 13 more beautiful piggies today. 🤯

They were all soaked in urine, and scared to death. It has been such an ordeal for them. It’s really really sad. I’ll get pictures of everyone once I let them settle in and relax for a few days, but there are some really gorgeous ones.
Several young babies, of course without their moms which is so so sad. Three very pregnant females & and with them was one female that looked like she had recently had babies and was full of milk, so I put her in with a really little ones and hoping that they are hers or she will at least accept them and start nursing them. That little tiny black one sure could use some mama’s milk. 🙏
We are really hoping that everyone spreads the word and sends people here to adopt instead of going to pet stores to buy them because this is where the problem begins with the breeders and the pet stores and then it gets out of control and the animals suffer for it.
Please please STOP breeding and selling these beautiful little critters that are so innocent and so afraid of everything. It is really sad for them to be treated this way.
They are all set up now with clean enclosures plenty of food and water places to hide and in a nice quiet space. Hopefully they will get a good nights sleep for the first time and God knows how long.😭

🐹 We received the three baby Guinea Pigs who were found so far in that horrific situation down south. We don’t know if there are more as these animals were scurrying everywhere lots of rabbits and guinea pigs just running all over in the muck.
These three are very, very young. The black one looks like it is basically a day or two old. The others may be a few days older. They are so tiny and so helpless right now, but the good thing about newborn guinea pigs is they pop out and start running around and can eat on their own immediately. However, they always do best staying with their mom for at least three weeks to get the nourishment that they really need. We will be receiving at least eight I think that we know of females tomorrow and I’m hoping there is at least one mom in there that still has milk to feed these babies. 🙏
For now, they are clean, warm and safe and eating up a storm. We will continue monitoring them very very closely.
It’s really sad that we see these situations way more than you would think 😭

🌴 Join us tomorrow and come visit our adorable adoptable guinea pigs.
All the other critters have recently been adopted but these are still waiting for their forever, loving homes. 🙏
Most of them are from the church group that were abandoned that we took in back in June. There are still nine available…...
We have two baby boys, two baby girls, and five older baby and young adult girls.
We would love to find some of them homes so they can live their best life moving forward.

They are all very sweet and easy to handle, no biters whatsoever. We also have a couple of enclosures at very good price prices. If you need an entire set up, we can arrange that for you.

Please think about making a difference in an animal’s life and stop by to see us and them tomorrow!!

Needed 🐹

☎️ We received a phone call this morning for an urgent placement of two female guinea pigs that needed a place to go ASAP.
We are still currently fairly full on guinea pigs here and just do not have the room to house them at this time but would like to help this person out and take them in to a foster situation until we have room here. 🙏
He will be bringing them to the rescue tomorrow. If anyone is available to foster these two beautiful girls, they will go with everything they need including an enclosure. Please let me know if you have the room and the time to take care of them and we will get you all set up.
It’s really fun to foster them without a long-term commitment and you will be doing a good deed for these beautiful little girls…… 🤎

🤍 Update on “Halo” 🤍

She’s doing great and gaining weight, loves to eat, of course, is hopping around and playing more and we are medicating her eyes four times a day and they are looking so much better.
We will see how she does and what further treatment she may need for her eyes, but for now she is like a different bunny and is safe, secure, and will never be treated like that ever again .
She’s just a baby and it’s just sad to think about all that she has been through in her short life already. Those eyes were horrible and she must’ve been suffering terribly with the pain and inflammation. She will be spayed as soon as she’s ready, and then she will be up for adoption in the future and find herself a wonderful loving home where she will be appreciated and loved for the rest of her life. 🐰

Happy Monday everyone & hopefully the start of a fabulous week…… ☀️

Today is definitely looking up for this poor little baby that was dumped in a box at another rescue up north of us.
We received her yesterday along with several of the birds that came from the same rescue that we are helping out.
She is skin and bones, she has eye infections in both eyes. She was severely matted and urine stained, and her nails were horribly overgrown. Clearly she hadn’t been cared for in quite a while and was in pretty bad shape.

She has been eating like a champ, we cleaned out her eyes and applied some eye ointment, it does appear that she has a pretty bad ulcer in one of her eyes, so we will be having her checked by the vet soon. We have her on some pain medication and we were able to brush her out last night and take out all of the mats and clip her nails so I’m sure she’s feeling much better today.

It’s really sad that animals get into this type of even worse the hands of humans who just don’t care enough about them to find them a better place to go when they don’t want to take care of them anymore . 😢

We do need a nice name for this adorable little Hollander Lop girl…….. 🤍

Meet “Simon’, formerly “Savanah” 🤷🏻‍♀️

This gorgeous male Sugar Glider was thought to be a girl for a year and a half since the owners had purchased him. You can tell by the scent gland on the head and of course he is quite a large sugar glider that this is a male. I am not an expert, but I do have a volunteer who is and she confirmed that this is indeed a boy.
He is very beautiful, and he seems fairly sweet, but we are still letting him settle in and relax before we do much handling. His diet is definitely not the best for him so we are going to be altering that and trying to get him a more nutritious daily diet.
These are very specific types of animals with very specific needs and they are not recommended for everyone. They are nocturnal as well so they spend most of their day sleeping and they come out at night. They can make wonderful pets for someone who really does their research and appreciates them for the unique little critters that they are. They actually do really well in pairs and finding this young boy a pow to hang out with would be really awesome. If you have a young male sugar glider, and are interested in another one please let us know
For now, he is doing well. He is settling in. We will make some changes cage set up and also his diet and hope to make him a happy young sugar glider while he is here with us. …….

🐰 This beautiful girl has been here too long & is very lonely 😞

This is adorable “Onyx”, a gorgeous & sweet spayed female approximately 2 year old Holland Lop bunny.
She came to us through Animal Control where she was found, dumped on the street. She was with another female white leopard bunny, who has since found a home we feel like she would really benefit from a boy bunny to give her companionship and keep her company in a wonderful loving home. These are all indoor bunnies that we prefer to have either free roaming when someone is home or in a nice big exercise playpen area. We do have a little area that is enclosed outside for them to go out once in a while to just hop around and get some fresh air and sunshine.🌞
She is very easy-going, she is very, very clean and uses her litter box all the time, she’s very gentle and very sweet. She has never tried to bite anyone and she is a good girl for holding and grooming.
If you think she might be a good match for you and maybe a girlfriend for your boy please send a message.
We would love to find her a friend where she can hop around, groom each other, and have a much better life going forward .
It’s so sad when these bunnies are tossed aside like trash when people get tired of them . 🥲
