Today marks 25 years since the tragic events of September 11, 2001, where nearly 3,000 lives were lost.

We will forever remember the heroes and all the lives that were lost. 🕯️

🎶 Live Music at the 72nd Annual June Lake Firefighters BBQ! 🎶

We’re excited to welcome Dark Sky Reserve to the stage this Saturday at Gull Lake Park!
Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Dark Sky Reserve brings an authentic blend of alt-country with a mix of original songs and timeless country classics from legends like Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Johnny Cash. 🤠🎸

Grab a BBQ plate, a cold drink, and settle in for an afternoon of great music, mountain views, epic raffles, and community fun—all while supporting your local volunteer firefighters.

🔥 Controlled burn near Wilson’s Butte, just south of the June Lake junction. 🔥

The Hartley 1020 RX Fire will treat approximately 68 acres to help reduce hazardous fuels and protect nearby communities, infrastructure, and natural resources from future wildfires.

⚠️ Travelers on Highway 395 should expect a Caltrans lane closure beginning at 7:00 AM Saturday, May 9, continuing through the weekend for firefighter and public safety.

🌫 Smoke may be visible in the area. If you encounter smoke on the roadway: • Slow down • Turn on your headlights • Use caution while driving

Burn operations are expected to continue into early next week as conditions allow. Please remember that prescribed fire activities may be adjusted or canceled if weather conditions change.
