We spent the morning beautifying our community!

It’s always a treat to visit other Kiwanis clubs and learn how they improve the lives of the children in their community.

We were honored to have Junction City South Kiwanis Club members join us last night for our club meeting. Special guests included Jim Germann who will be Governor of the Kansas District of Kiwanis October 1st and Jason Krantz, incoming Lt. Governor of District 4. Such a treat to have these folks come over and spend time with us. Thank you so much for participating in our Abilene Kiwanis Club!

Came out to root on the JC Brigade at the ballgame this evening.

After a little repair work due to a construction mishap during the installation of the new playground in Coronado Park, our club’s Little Free Library has returned home to Coronado Park.

While we were at it, we gave it a new paint job and new sign.

Come on by and grab a book to read, or leave one for others!

It’s amazing what a few Kiwanians can do for a community!

We had out ribbon cutting for the NEW Coronado Park playground this evening.

Here are a few of the Before, During, and After photos of the playground.

Our club partnered with the City to make this playground a possibility for the children of our community.

Generous grant funding was also provided by the Kiwanis Childrens Fund and the Kansas Kiwanis Foundation.

Thanks to I.C.A.R.E for the adult stair stepper that is between the two play sections.

Special Thanks to Qdoba for supporting our fundraising efforts for this project and providinging funding.
