These families are identified through the number of children qualified for the free and reduced lunch program in USD 475. Children who have adequate nutrition perform better academically and have more positive health and wellness outcomes. Parents who are able to provide their families with adequate nutrition are better equipped to focus on pursuing more positive outcomes for their families. With community support, Wheels of H.O.P.E. hopes to help combat the issue of food insecurity in Geary County.
