This afternoon, Servant Hearts, Inc. was back in the building at Junction City High School for the networking event hosted through a marketing class in the Business, Public Service, and Hospitality Pathway. ๐
For the past five years, this event has created a space for students to connect with local leaders, business owners, military personnel, and civic and educational partners in our community.
I had the pleasure of spending time with Hazelle, a delightful and talented young artist. ๐จ
She was such a joy to visit with this afternoon.
One of Hazelleโs pieces is featured in the USD 475 Art Show and Silent Auction tonight and tomorrow, and it is absolutely beautiful.
She shared that she has sketched all her life, but really became serious about her artwork about two years ago. Honestly, her work looks like that of someone who has been developing her craft for far longer.
She is gifted. ๐
I encouraged her to continue building her presence and sharing her art with the world.
Young people need reminders that their gifts matter, and Hazelle surely has a gift.
Events like this matter. They give students the chance to practice confidence, professionalism, and conversation skills in real time.
And yes, one of the most fun moments of the afternoon was seeing the students light up when DJ Giddens arrived.
Once they spotted him, the rest of us became chopped liver real fast. ๐๐
The excitement in the room was priceless.
Servant Hearts, Inc. will always support spaces where encouragement, exposure, and possibility grow for young people. โค๏ธ
