We are finally in a position to bring back The Fallen Outdoors Charity Catfish Tournament!! We are talking with All American Catfish Tournaments for the best dates for a 2026 tournament. We need your input though. We are weighing our options of hosting our next tournament on the Missouri River (launch at Atchison, KS) or retaining the event at Milford Lake, KS. We would love to hear everyone’s input on these locations. Thanks

Due to staff turnover and time constraints, we cannot host the Tournament this year. We have considered a fall tournament but cannot make any promises at present. We have an all volunteer staff that have other obligations and have to work within everyone's individual time constraints. We apologize for the late notice and the lack of communication to those who have reached out via messenger. Hopefully we can resume the charity tournament soon. We will keep everyone posted as we work towards getting this tournament back on its feet.

Huge thanks to all our competitors for another awesome event this year! We had 47 Veterans on the water, and you all weighed in over 475 lbs of fish. We are already looking forward to seeing you all next year!

***ATTTENTION*** ***NEW DATE***

We have rescheduled the The Fallen Outdoors Charity Catfish Tournament for 21 May 2023.
Same lake, same launch location. Hopefully everyone can make the new date. Again, don't hesitate to reach out if you already registered and payed, but can't attend the new date. We will happily refund your entry fee.

Hope to see everyone out there next month and let's cross our fingers for beautiful weather and tight lines!!

***ATTENTION*** ***POSTPONED***

It was a tough decision, but we need to plan for the worst and ensure the safety of all participants. The winds have fluctuated from 15mph to as much as 35 with even higher gusts. Thunderstorms are back in the forecast, and Sunday is turning out to be a similar forecast.

I'm working with All American Catfish Tournaments to get a new date on the books. We are already looking to get the new date established in May.

I'm sorry if this has negatively impacted anyone's travel/work plans. Like always, please reach out if you wish to get a refund on your registration fees. Otherwise, we will roll your registration fee over to the new date. If you can't attend that one, reach out for a refund.

***Weather Considerations***

We are watching the weather Saturday. If conditions worsen, we will likely shift the tournament to Sunday. The current forecast for the Wakefield area is below. The safety of all participants is our top concern. As of now, we will continue with the tournament as scheduled. We will e-mail all registered teams and push out a notification on our page if anything changes.

*We will happily refund entry fees for teams that don't feel comfortable competing in these winds or are unable to attend the tournament if it is moved to Sunday.

***ATTENTION***

The Geary Co. Game Warden asked that I pass on the #1 issue they have been having with boaters this year.

1. A PFD for each passenger must be out and readily accessible. (not stored)

2. Boats 16' or larger (w/motor) must have a Type IV throwable PFD readily accessible. (not stored)

Obviously, all other KS regulations apply. These are just the two issues for which his office has seen multiple infractions for.

Thanks, and see you all in less than a week!
