After thirty years serving the US and other countries, and operating since August ‘20 here in Julian, the research now backs up what common sense told us — Putting books into households with preschoolers helps build lifelong learners and lovers of reading.
Today in five local Zip Codes including Julian, 97 preschoolers are receiving free high-quality, developmentally-targeted books in the mail every month. An additional 106 Julian-area kids have graduated from the program and are enrolled in school with the advantages this recent study confirm.
