Meet Lizzy! She's brave, smart, and self-motivated. She is truly a born leader! Our missionary (and MaMa to the girls as you will soon see), Gaby, took food and supplies to a very poor mountain last December. That is where she met Lizzy. She told Gaby that she had a dream to make a life for herself off of the mountain (and to fly on an airplane!) and bravely asked to move to House of Hope. Of course, Gaby said yes!

One year ago today, in the back of the New Desire Christian Ministries' van in La Ermita, Honduras, Kristi looked at Jennifer and Sebrina and said, Y'all should open a thrift store to help support the House of Hope!

We are so thankful for God's providence that guided us to this mission, and we are so grateful for your continued support.

This is a little snippet of what we've been able to accomplish in less than a year of being open:

💥Provide a loving, safe, Christ-centered home for 11 girls at House of Hope
💥Send 2 girls to college in Honduras, providing them with safe housing
💥Add another bedroom to house more girls
💥Add shelter over the pila to shield the girls from the harsh sun
💥Add ceiling fans and insulation to the house to counter the harsh heat
💥Add additional bathroom facilities at House of Hope
💥Add additional security bars to secure the House of Hope grounds
💥Make repairs to stop future flooding into House of Hope
💥Provide each House of Hope girl with a brand-new, personal Bible
💥Provide backpacks for local kids in foster care
💥Provide clothing to several local teens in need
💥Provide clothing and home goods to several families affected by house fires
💥Team with St. Clair County BoE to provide interview outfits for any senior
💥Team with Ashville High School for a Christmas Toy Drive
💥Team with Ashville High School SGA for a winter coat drive
💥Partnered with 180 Church to provide coats for their homeless ministry
💥Partnered with St. Clair County Sav-A-Life to provide baby items
💥Partnered with Ashville's The Blessing Jar ministry to provide Christmas for local children
💥Provide an affordable shopping option for our entire community
💥Show and share the Love of Jesus
