JEPP-Joyce Emergency Planning and Preparation The JEPP Group’s mission is to prepare our small community to cope with large scale disasters, including a major earthquake.

Winner of the FEMA Community Champions Honorable Mention Award in 2017. We are a special project of the Joyce Fire Department Auxiliary which is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) charity. You can make donations to JEPP through the Auxiliary.

If you want to help those affected by the floods, World Central Kitchen is now in Washington to feed those who have lost their homes. They are already set up. Your money will help them continue to feed those in need.

If you are coming into Joyce on May 17, stop by the Joyce Emergency Shelter Workshop/Open House at Joyce Bible Church from 10am - 2pm. You can stay the whole time or just drop in. We will be setting up the mobile kitchen and the water filter system. You can even lend a hand and learn how it is done. . The Crescent Plant Sale is that day as well, so come by before or after that and check out the Joyce Emergency Shelter equipment. You will be amazed at how prepared out little community is.

Come to a Joyce Emergency Shelter Workshop on May 17. If you would be willing to help set-up the emergency shelter when it is needed, please attend this hands on workshop. You will learn how to set up the mobile field kitchen in case we need to cook for 300+ people. You will learn how to run the water filtration trailer so we can provide potable water to the community. You will see how the generator system will be set up to provide power to the shelter.

The Joyce Emergency Shelter will be run by volunteers from the Joyce community.
