Today, we visited Children's Alliance of South Texas and donated $300 to Shoes for Smiles.
For those who may not be familiar, CAST (Children’s Alliance of South Texas ~ A Child Advocacy Center) was founded in October 2013. The organization plays a unique role in providing comprehensive, coordinated, and compassionate services to child victims of abuse and their non-offending caregivers within the 81st Judicial District, which includes Atascosa, Frio, Karnes, La Salle, and Wilson counties.
When an allegation of abuse occurs, the child is referred to one of their three child-friendly centers, where trained professionals provide healing and justice through free, comprehensive, therapeutic services.
