Cub Scouts had a perfect weather camping weekend at Leo Carrillo. They had so much fun at the beach, exploring tide pools, caves, digging an impressive hole that many beachgoers commented on, enjoyed various swing set ups that our one Cub dad brought, playing games, and of course eating s’mores!

Some pics from our weekend trip to the Whiskey Flat Festival in Kernville. They had a blast going to the rodeo, carnival rides, and vendors while camping right next to the Kern River. Scouts did an amazing job working as a team, setting up their campsites, cooking their own meals, and making sure to help keep the fire going.

Troop Scouts just finished a 10 mile backpack along the Arroyo Seco from Switzer Falls Trailhead to JPL Hahamonga Watershed. A fairly ‘beginner’ backpack but not without its challenges and dozens of water crossings. They all did a fantastic job!
