It has been a busy and exciting spring in our program! A huge thank you to Amber McDowell for providing an outstanding animal science reproduction lesson and tour. Opportunities like these help bring classroom learning to life for our students.

Our students have been hard at work preparing animals for Stock Show, planting garden beds, teaching ag in the classroom lessons to the elementary, and putting their food science skills to the test in the Chopped Challenge. We are proud of all they have accomplished this season.

A special thank you as well to Mr. Koehn for stepping in and helping while Mrs. Mansfield was away with family. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Last night’s banquet was incredible. The food, the company, the decorations, and the ceremony were all top notch. Congratulations to our officers for organizing such an impactful evening, and congratulations to all of our members for their achievements this past year.

At the end of the day, this program is not built by any one person—it is built through relationships, support, and people who believe in kids. When parents, teachers, administrators, alumni, and community members work together, our students gain the confidence, character, and opportunities to become the very best versions of themselves. In that process, we all become better too. That will always be the greatest goal.

Alumni Auction was a huge success! Thank you to all of our donors and supporters for an amazing night of funding of our various opportunities and events. This year our Alumni was chosen as the Alumni Chapter of Year at the Oregon FFA State Convention, in honor of their commitment to our students and FFA Chapter. At our Alumni Auction alone we raised over $34,000 to help support travel, scholarships, and add-ons for animals at livestock show and WCF! If you are interested in joining the Joseph FFA Alumni, just reach out to any of our alumni members. Thank you alumni and community!

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and support from our local businesses, individuals, and our talented shop students who have come together to create an amazing silent auction for our FFA chapter. Your time, effort, and willingness to give back mean more than we can say, and it truly makes a difference for our students.

The silent auction will kick off tomorrow (Friday, May 1st) at 5:00 PM during our alumni auction at the Thunder Room. We would love to see you there! If you’re unable to attend but still want to support or have your eye on an item, please reach out—we have people who can help make that happen.

Thank you for continuing to invest in our students and our program. It does not go unnoticed.

Thank you, Theresa Stangel, for leading such an engaging food science lesson during our protein unit! Students had the opportunity to sample a variety of bison retail cuts while learning about primals and different cooking methods. We truly appreciate you sharing your time and expertise with our class. It’s safe to say this lesson may have been a bigger hit than the Tofu Pad Thai we made on Monday!

Saturday, May 2nd. 7 AM- 11AM
at the fairgrounds.
Come in through the gate by LES SCHWAB. (Backwards from what we normally do)

Pre-fair weight: must weigh between 60-120 pounds
Fair weight: 230-330 pounds
* All swine will be wormed and vaccinated. $5/Animal

YES- you may weigh your EOLS pig at this time if you are bringing fair pigs down too!
