The Jordan Area Food Shelf supplies food to those in need who live in Jordan. We are a resource for other needs one might have as well.

Open hours are every Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

📬 Help Fight Hunger – Annual Food Drive! 🥫

The United States Postal Service will be conducting their annual food drive on Saturday, May 9th.

Participating is easy:

Place a box or can of non-perishable food next to your mailbox
Do this before your letter carrier arrives
Your carrier will pick it up and take care of the rest!

All donations will be sorted and delivered to the
Jordan Area Food Shelf,
where they will support local families in need.

Every can makes a difference—thank you for your generosity! ❤️

Hi Everyone! We have about 15 cases of baking soda that expired in September 2025. If there is anyone like a cleaning service or a bakery or any other type of business that could use baking soda even if it’s expired, we would love to connect. We can’t use or provide expired food or items to our clients. Please contact us at your convenience. It’s completely free!

UPDATE - All treats have been given to local rescues!

If there are any dog rescue groups out there (or if anyone knows of any, please forward this) in need of crunchy dog treats, we have a significant number of full cases of the dog treats (pictured below). They look like candy but are for DOGS. I'm wondering if any dog rescue around here would be interested in them. Our customers at the food shelf have not shown much interest in them for their pets, so we are hoping to not have them go to waste if possible. They are past their expiration, but my dog doesn't seem to care so thought we would ask before disposing of them.

What a morning! 🦃👟

The Jordan Area Foodshelf Turkey Trot was a huge success, and we couldn’t have done it without YOU. With the help of over 200 Turkey Trotters, we raised over $3,000 for the food shelf, burned enough calories to earn an extra slice of pie, and spent quality time with friends and family. That’s what this event is all about, and we are so thankful for your support!

A big thank-you to our amazing volunteers who helped everything run smoothly:
Julie Allar, Mike Allar, Scott Allar, Alex Wolf, Autumn Warden, Dominic Warden, and Deb Barker.

And a special shoutout to our generous sponsors for making this event possible:

The Dakota Sport and Fitness Turkey Trot raised money for area food shelfs this year! The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community gives so much back to our communities and to the Jordan Area Food Shelf, we are forever grateful! The CAP Agency, Belle Plaine Food Shelf and Jordan Area Food Shelf each received 1/3 of this BIG check! Thank you again!

Our community is the best! The Jordan Area Food Shelf was in need to help those in need right now and people came through! Boy did they come through! We have had several $ donations in the last 4 days and an abundance of paper products donated - 2 pick-up loads! Thank you to the Jordan Community! So glad to be a part of such an amazing community!
