Scott County 4-H Scott County 4-H is open to all youth grades Kindergarten through one year post high school. We build next generation leaders through learning by doing.

Youth are welcome to join this years Scott County 4-H Arts-in production of You can Count on me! Arts-in is a youth-led performing arts group for youth who have completed grades 3-12. LQA&E training is required for all 4-H state fair livestock exhibitors. Livestock Quality Assurance & Ethics training helps youth provide excellent care for their food animals and ensure a high level of food safety to consumers. Training good for 3 years.

Join us for the Carver & Scott County 4-H Teen Lock-in hosted by our joint County Ambassador program on Friday, May 22 from 4:45-8:45 p.m. at the Safari Island Community Center in Waconia, MN. This is a fun social event for our older youth where they will get a chance to connect with one another, enjoy the swimming pool, contribute to a community service project, eat yummy food and make memories to last a lifetime! The event is FREE and open to all Carver and Scott County youth in 6th grade and above (must be enrolled). RSVP by Tuesday, May 19!

Central Region Poultry Workshop
Saturday, April 25, 2026
9:30 a.m. - 12:30 at the Carver County Public Works Building, Cologne, MN

With a mix of lecture and audience participation, attendees will learn showmanship tips and what to expect during the judging process from Mike Kutzke and Aaron Marquette will present the basics of poultry judging, carcasses, eggs and laying hens, in 4-H. This workshop will cover pigeons/doves, chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys. Birds will be provided.
