Thursday October 15 is FREE PIZZA night at Sapore di mare, starting at 6pm. Officer elections will be held then. Nominations will be received for President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. These positions are for a one-year term. Please consider volunteering. The current officers have been in office for over two years, and they are ready to pass the reins. This is your chance to influence the direction of RIRA.

Also at the meeting, Gunpowder Riverkeeper Theaux Le Gardeur will update us on the muddy discharge into our waters from the Ridgely Reserve construction site. He'll also update us on the Days Cove landfill leachate situation, and the proposed raising of the RR bridge over the river.


For those who can't make the meeting, Theaux will be talking about one or more of these issues on Oct. 7 at 6pm in the Taylor Creek pavilion of Mariner's Park.

Just a quick FYI 😊 — the pizza is on us! 🍕 Any drinks or additional food items will be available for individual purchase.

If you're not a member yet or haven't paid your dues for this year, you can do that at the Sapore meeting. See you there!

Get Ready for Fun, Food and Friends!
The RIRA Crab Feast is just around the corner on September 19th. The cost is $48 for RIRA members and $55 for non-members. Free admission and free drinks for attendees opting out of the meal. Pay by check or you can pay online.

Reservations and payment need to be in by September 12th.

It will feature large steamed crabs, steamed shrimp, corn on the cob, b**r, w**e, sodas, water, desserts, door prizes, 50/50 drawing, and plenty of fun! We will have cookies, but please feel free to bring a dessert to share if you feel motivated.

Join us on Thursday, August 20 at Towne Grill & Pub for our monthly RIRA meeting, where we'll welcome a special guest speaker from Anchor Contracting, Inc. They'll be sharing valuable information about roof replacement, repairs, and answering your questions.

Reminder! Our annual RIRA Community Block Party is coming up on June 13 from 1–4 PM at the Parker’s Tent, 400 Shore Drive! 🎉☀️

This FREE event is open to all Rumsey Island residents and includes food, drinks, games, prizes, and lots of fun with neighbors and friends. Thank you for helping make Rumsey Island such a wonderful community!

We could still use a few volunteers for the day of the event. If you’re able to help out and would enjoy being part of the fun, please text John Berry at 443-690-6412.
