Angels Over Joplin

Angels Over Joplin Red-Wood Development, Bell Management & the Schroeder Family During the storm that took so many lives, homes and families have been torn apart, as well.

As you have probably heard by now, or possibly witnessed, a devastating EF-5 tornado struck Joplin, Missouri on May 22, 2011 at around 5:45pm. Red-Wood Development, Bell Management, and the Schroeder family have been proud members of the Joplin community for over 40 years. Although those who lived through this will never be the same, we are creating a fund to help as many as possible get back to a

normal life as quickly as possible. Red-Wood properties alone that were destroyed provided homes to 300 families and housed several businesses. Our companies have already begun the process of rebuilding but there is so much more that area residents need to re-start their lives. Some people not only lost their homes and possessions, but their job or business also. If you would like to be an Angel over Joplin, please send your donation to Arvest Bank of Joplin at 701 S. Main St., Joplin, MO 64801, Attn: Jackie Schell. Please make checks payable to "Angels Over Joplin." We have established a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation, making your donation tax deductible. The Schroeder family will match all donations up to $50,000. One hundred percent (100%) of the proceeds will be used to help victims of the Joplin tornado and at least half of the monies will go directly to our 300 displaced families, many of whom are low income seniors and families. There are angels walking this earth every day as we've personally seen this week. We ask that you forward this email to as many of your contacts as possible and help create a miracle from tragedy. Thank you and God Bless

Our local college has become a shelter for those displaced, rows of cots covering the gym floor. Lines of fans at the ticket booth have been replaced with lines of people who wear everything they own on their back, waiting for a plate of food given with kindness.

I've always loved this song and video. It has special meaning today thinking of all those affected by the tornado in Joplin.

This song really spoke to me, so I put some pictures to it. I don't know these men and women, but I owe them everything.

Today I give great thanks and am thinking of all that have served and continue to serve our country, protect our freedoms and give of themselves... In the services or simply serving fellow Americans.

The Landers crew (mom, dad & little sis) drove to Joplin yesterday with a jam packed car full of items and fistful of donations for 300 residents of Red Wood Apartments. Thank you St. Louis for your generous donations!
Please continue to share this page to help these struggling families and seniors back into a home.

Residents from Red Wood Apartments give details of their experience.

The tornado has left some residents homeless and without utilities. Residents who lived near Range Line Road, which was hit especially hard, are trying to gather what is left of their possessions.
