June Third Thursday - You Belong in Joplin is tomorrow! Tomorrow, join us, rain or shine, as we celebrate equity, diversity, and inclusion with You Belong and members from the Quapaw Nation - OGahPah.
Third Thursday– You Belong in Joplin is the perfect chance to come and explore Downtown and see what our beautiful town has to offer! Join us as we kick off the summer with our sponsor, You Belong in Joplin, and members of the Quapaw Nation. Tomorrow you can expect to see a performance from the Quapaw Nation dancers at 5:30, followed by line dancing at 6:15 led by You Belong in Joplin!
We can't wait to kick off summer with a great summertime celebration! When there's art, shopping, live music, and so much delicious food to enjoy, who would want to miss this event!
We are so excited for this month’s Third Thursday– You Belong in Joplin! We have so many amazing food trucks for you to check out, along with vendors selling all kinds of different goodies! Be sure to stop into the businesses that run along Main st, many of them adjust their hours so they are open later for Third Thursday festivities.
This Third Thursday's sponsor, You Belong, will be hosting dancers from the Quapaw Nation on the 600 block at 5:30 p.m. We invite you to come watch this spectacular performance and then join You Belong for line dancing beginning at 6:15 p.m. June's Third Thursday is always one for the books, and you definitely do not want to miss it!
Come join us for a night filled with music, arts, food, and family. Summertime is all about making memories and trying new things so be sure to come and check out (maybe try some new food) June’s Third Thursday– You Belong in Joplin!
Here's what to expect for tomorrow:
*Live music all night on stages ranging from the 200 Block to the 600 Block, from: Andrew Pommert and Second Generation–as well as a special performance from the Quapaw Tribe Dancers at 5:30, followed by line dancing from members of the You Belong group at 6:15, on the 600 block stage!
*Over 115 vendors will line Main Street, with more than 20 food trucks and food booths
*The Boutique Marketplace Too (613 S Main) runs specials on every Third Thursday, so be sure to stop by and check out The Brick Pit popup happening inside the store!
*Vino Noir will have a “Wine Garden” set up in front of 528 & 530 Main Street
*Vintage car cruise and DJ on the 100 block (complete with trophies!)
*Artisan Market on the 500 block
*Bounce House, face painting, and balloon animals for kids!
Once you're tired of walking, Third Thursday is a great chance to stop in at some of the restaurants and bars on Main Street and the Entertainment District–(plus, it's cool inside–just saying)!
Third Thursday is Joplin’s premiere community cultural event. Every Third Thursday, March through October, thousands of people gather on Main Street in Downtown Joplin from 5:30pm to 8:30pm to enjoy local artisans, music, entertainment, and food.
