Third Thursday is Joplin’s premier community cultural event. Every Third Thursday, March-October, thousands of people gather on Main Street in Downtown Joplin from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm to enjoy local artisans, music, entertainment, and food. This season’s events are made possible thanks to KSN 16 KODE 12 and JoplinRecycles.com!

The evening's events include:
- Live music all night from Paul Blakely, Erica & Erica French, and Baylee’s Music Academy.
- Joplin Family YMCA will have their annual Thriller Flash Mob once it turns dark!
- The Youth Volunteer Corps will be hosting a native plant sale fundraiser in their booth, along with mums
- Creative Car Audio (7 & Main) is bringing back the Third Thursday Gathering! Come show off your car, boat, motorcycle, ATV, or whatever your ride is! Come in on the back side of the store and staff will help get you parked–even if you aren’t showing a vehicle, come down and check out the others!
- Patio and on-street dining throughout the event, including at Vino Noir and The Main Event
- Vintage car cruise on the 100 block
- Artisan market on the 500 block
