This morning, You Belong in Joplin volunteers joined Nanda to paint a fence at 1046 S. Joplin Avenue — the birth site of Langston Hughes.

This project has been three years in the making, and we’ve been patiently waiting to see it come to life. Today was more than just painting a fence — it was about honoring history and preserving legacy. 💛

So grateful to everyone who helped make this moment happen.
