I have a light-colored leather couch, so I don't see the difference in color, but after application, I definitely notice a difference in texture. The leather feels considerably smoother and soft to the touch—pretty much like a skin that's just moisturized is silky in texture. The salve is not greasy; it is firmly solid. A little goes a long way. The brush that it came with is substantial! It is sturdy and comfortable to use. I'm happy with this, and I can recommend it.
