Good morning! Unfortunately, there has been a leak in The Joy Closet. We have quite a bit of water damage. Therefore, we will be closed in the interim. During this time, I will be scheduling appointments on a first come first served basis to pick up food boxes. You will need to utilize Facebook Messenger to request a pickup. Again, this will be on a first come first serve basis. These food boxes will count as your monthly visit. Thank you and I apologize for the inconvenience.

We will not be accepting any clothing donations during this time.

A little shopping today to gear up for next Wednesday.

Yes, the trunk was full and yes, I have an SUV and yes, I chose the itty bitty car because ⛽ is 💰and I am stingy 🫣

The Joy Closet will be hosting a back to school event this Saturday at the Dollar General on highway 21, in Jonesville beginning at 9:30 a.m.

We will be giving away school supplies that include and are not limited to pencils, erasers, notebooks, scissors, backpacks, crayons and clothes, etc.

Thank you to everyone for all of your donations!

We are still taking up for the school supply drive. Those of you who can help with school supplies, they can be dropped off at Arlington First Baptist Church. Or, if you would like to donate an Amazon, Walmart, or DG gift card, it will be most appreciated!

Also, we are in need of laundry detergent, dryer sheets, paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, deoderant, toothpaste, mouthwash, diapers, wipes, non-perishable food and drinks etc.

A great big thank you to the Sunday School classes at Arlington First Baptist Church for donating the leftover VBS food money to the Joy Closet!

When I shop, I do serious girl math, just ask Brandon 🫣 I went to the DG, yes the one on 21 in Jonesville, because it's the best.... I just started throwing school supplies in my cart without a care in the world. Halfway through James checking me out, I said I only have $143. He said well right now we're at $92. At the end, I spent $141 and some change. Who said girl math doesn't work?
