Today, I stopped by the Dollar General store in Reading to present store manager Amanda with a plaque for collecting the most toys of all the DG stores in Hillsdale County. Amanda and her team came up with innovative ideas to get donations and together they collected 734 items for us! This is the second year in a row the Reading store has won the plaque. Pictured below are Amanda and Emily of the Reading store. Thank you to the employees and customers of store number 10316! 🚂🎅🧸

The first batch of thank you letters were mailed out today and the remainder will be in the mail on Monday. Thank you again to everyone who contributed to this campaign in anyway. I appreciate each one of you and hope 2026 is a wonderful year for you!❤️

‼️WOW‼️ Thank you to EVERYONE who assisted with the 2025 campaign!👏 Because of your generosity, we provided over 10,000 toys, books, games, stuffed animals, and stocking stuffers to 7️⃣5️⃣2️⃣ children in Hillsdale County!
Every year, I am humbled by the way this community shows up for the kids at Christmas. If I thanked everyone in this post, you wouldn't read it due to its' length.😂 The Hillsdale Campaign has so many supporters that I fear I would forget someone. What an awesome problem to have! I am going to make a list and post it seperately. Thank you to my awesome core group, the ones who put in 11-12 hour days with me counting, sorting, shopping, setting up, and helping ensure distribution ran smoothly. Cyndee, Mary, and Elizabeth you are all amazing and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.🥰 Thank you to my boys Ethan and Jeremy who pick up the boxes and do so so much more. And to Ray Anderson for picking up toys, delivering lunch to us, and anything else that was asked of him. 🚗🥪🧸
Speaking of lunch, thank you Cindy Mure Bieszk of Hillsdale Filling Station Deli and Kevin Conant of Here's to You Pub & Grub for providing us with delicious food on toy distribution days.
This was our 10th year partnering with The Salvation Army Hillsdale 360 Life Center and I'm thankful for Pam Cobb all that she and her crew do. We also have a phenomenal partnership with Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and appreciate all that Abbey LoPresto does.
Lastly, thank you Hillsdale Assembly of God for allowing us to hold sign up and distribution in the church. The ladies from the church wrapping presents for families was a welcome addition this year.🎁 Thank you Pastor Dan and Lona Carpenter for your support and help.

Distribution for families who signed up to receive toys this year starts tomorrow, Monday, December 8th and runs through Tuesday, December 9th. A few things to remember:

🚫👶Absolutely NO children allowed. If you bring your child(ren) with you we will have to reschedule you to the end of the day on Tuesday to give you time to find childcare.

🆔️Bring the blue appointment card that you received at sign up and your photo ID. Families must have previously signed up to receive toys.

🧸📸 If you are sending someone to pick up toys in your place they need a signed note from you giving them permission to pick up the toys, a copy of your photo ID (a picture on their cell phone will work), and your blue appointment card.
